Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Love the stories of your walks , wish it was snowing here ! Did a 6 and a half mile walk yesterday , then ruined it by having a pub lunch ! There was a walk organised today too , but I could not go because I was having a CT .....but I joined them for lunch ( 2 different groups ! ) ...which was cheeting a bit wasn’t it !! I can’t post pictures but Lou looking at yours .....lets all keep going .......x
Wonderful photos, love snowdrops and their namesake! it absolutely does not ruin the walk, that you had a pub lunch! Much better to walk and eat than just sit around. Now me in last couple of days, minimal walking and 2 lunches out - not at all virtuous - but good company which is food for the soul so I think that counts for a lot.
wish we could all descend on the hospital and spring you out, it could be the charge of the wonky boob brigade! But sadly I think you need to be there till all is healed enough to be homeward bound - may that day come very soon. We all love your news and photos, keep them coming and keep circuiting. Love and many many gentle hugs, NNxx
Hi
HappyFeet1 have you been abbreviated? I guess the nurse but may have been a concern
AND IT IS STILL SNOWING
I am sure there is an unwritten rule about 'must have pub lunch after walking'. If not I shall add it to the opening page.
Lovely will I get to aquafit tomorrow. Mmmmmmmmm

Yes I noticed I'd been shortened yesterday (as if I'm not short enough already) and then had an email from the powers that be saying that medical titles are not allowed in usernames.... I'm not a n**** in real life anyway, this is why I chose it:
It's our dog (Nala) on a Moonp** card sent by my son after my op! I did notice sometime afterwards that she is actually wearing a d*****'s cap but that would also have contravened the rules!!
I don't like the abbreviated version so will probably choose another in the fullness of time. Hey ho, funny old rules but I guess they're there for a reason.
Hi all, it’s gone very dark here rather early but it’s rain rather than snow - so far!
Hugs xxx
Moomy
, sorry you are struggling, but well done keeping walking, you will be out soon xx
No Bears ? Liked the pic xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Gorgeous, snowdrops are so uplifting xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
