Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.

Hi,had a nice walk to shops even though in rain took piccies of flowers on way...(when my Dad died I loved the flowers in gardens on way on my way to shops) Found some daffs trying hard to flower...“In much the same way as Remembrance Day uses the poppy. But whereas the poppy is a symbol for war, the daffodil is a symbol of the unified battle against cancer.”
Woo hoo, I have just found this thread again! Now, I know I am thick but how do i keep the thread so I can follow it and hopefully upload onto it when I have a picture from my walk. Started walking again when No 2 Son came over from USA at Christmas and dragged me out for long walks... I promised I would carry on but have not been as good as I should have been!
I think it is a lovely idea and hope it continues.
Linda

Hi Leolady,
OMG! That was the first record I ever bought! That brigs back memories...
Thank you for your lovely message. I have been for a walk in the rain, probably not a good idea as I was going to have my hair cut! But at least I have been out, and feel better for it.
I understand that things have not been good for you lately so I am sending as many soft, furry hugs as you can take, and hope things look up for you soon.
You cannot be old as that would make me ancient!
Hugs
Linda
