Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Been able to walk locally during the day again, now it is cooler. Really enjoying it. Even enjoyed hoping to the chemist in the pouring rain. Beginning to feel more like normal again xxxxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Had a lovely walk to see an old friend who’s virtually housebound tonight. The sky was amazing. This was taken at about 8.45pm. Sign of the sun returning

Am just back from shuffle around Victoria Park (Glasgow) - 20 swans and 5 cygnets on the pond but didn't stop to take photos (sorry) as have set goal of doing Park Run there later in the year and wanted to see how I would do. Did the 5km in 52 minutes and 33 seconds so really chuffed as my joints are killing me at the moment - oh the joys of letrozole!
Love this inspiring site xxx
Well done !
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Oh yes, lovely Letrozole! I take the generic version of Claritin (Loratidine) and that helps those aches a bit.
But walking and keeping going a bit each day does also help; but nothing seems to help those wretched hot flushes!
Hugs xxx.

Good afternoon Moomy
Hope you are keeping well.
I really do not like Letrozole. I keep moving and I have been in so much pain lately with the aching my GP has had to refer me back to my Oncologist. I understand with the horrible hot flushes I wont need a heater come winter time
Takes care lovely ladies
Hugs xxxxx
Nice to have new peeps here,Hi xx.
I saw a little toddler stopping on the pavement today while her Granny was trying to get her to Come On!!and when I came out of the Charity shop, she had just Sat Down! Not Going Anywhere!!She was so cute I just had to stop and smile, and her Granny said,”and I washed and ironed that little dress today....”
I didnt say anything...how could I,I once did the same as an adult!!I was in a foreign country and my beau wanted to walk all the way to the Town and back...on way back I didnt want to go any further...and kept complaining (thought he was being mean),and in the end I just sat down on the pavement!!
Needless to say we got a taxi.
am so spoilt!!xx
