Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi again Flossie,
I didn't spot your question about my implant!
I gather it makes for a longer op, and the drains are a bit more complex and my deep one stayed in for just over 2weeks. I'm fine, it's good to look down and see a 'bump' there when first waking. It is no way the same as the other one, I'm a bit old (73) and the other one drifts south with gravity. But in a bra (slightly padded) they look the same, twins. Otherwise they are definitely sisters! And of course I do have a cleavage.
The sensation is very odd, some parts feel relatively normal, some totally numb. I also have a slightly 'flat' spot to the left side where the two scars which got joined were pulled together a bit more than the rest, (have a small prosthesis to pop in a non padded bra) will ask about that in my appointment (hard to imagine it's almost 3months now) in mid-July. I might also ask about hoiking the other one up a bit....not sure if they can or if it's really advised either.

Thanks moomy Decisions Decisions ... good advice though. I’ve already got two odd boobs so don’t know why I worry about the difference an implant would make !!! However it’s whether to have something permanent and all that implies, take the risk and possibility of further surgery later .....or not. I keep thinking if I manage to lose another stone in weight my natural boob would shrink but not the implant ... that’s thinking too much out the box perhaps !?

Hahaha, Ali,
My excuse for indulging? a) nothing as good as this at home, and b) it entailed about a mile walk to get there and therefore a mile back too!
But yes, really great ices! Sorry for the state of your phone, lol!

Just seen your post moomy I’m only 10 years behind you. You’ve done great to recover so well as I seem to remember you had to go back to theatre. I wouldn’t expect to have matching boobs ... don’t have them now !! Once in bra and clothed look fine ... all smoke and mirrors really. But yes, you see a bump and have a cleavage so definitely gives you a sense of security and well being.
Theres no harm in asking about lifting up other side ... as we say ...“ shy bairns get nowt “
