Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely posts....and ...well done you !!!xx
Nettle soup! Brilliant!
Where we lived when we first got married, each spring there were loads of nettles nearby, once I realised they were not sprayed or poisoned in any way I made use of the early tips instead of spinach, very tasty!

Hi all
Just back from my run - I am going to bore you all with stats now! :)
So I have decided to switch my focus from minutes to distance. With the hospital rehab team I have set a goal for 30 minutes running at a time by August and that seems fairly do-able from here (fingers crossed I can keep the fatigue and anything other setbacks at bay)
So today I managed 3km in 25 minutes - hopefully I'll work on getting that down to 20 minutes then work up to 5k. Still no developments at the swans nest - those cygnets may be the most eagerly awaited ones ever - there is always a crowd!
Don't seem to be able to post images just now - so please imagine a Canada Goose with her goslings on the grass!
Hope you all have the sun shining on you today!

Wow, hope you had plenty of water, Ronstar? I’m impressed, walking 3k is more my line, in fact, walking 10k, no trouble, but running? Not me!
Oh and yes, I can’t post pics at present either, from phone or iPad, think it’s been reported, hope it’s sorted!

Afternoon all.
Today's walk was to a local gritstone edge about 15 minutes away from home. Sunshine was fabulous just a gentle stroll around. Set off early to avoid the heat and the bank holidayers.
Hope those that are well enough have been able to get out and about, even if just for a short while
And well done ronstar - 25 mins in this heat is brilliant. keep us posted on the cygnets, but goslings sound gorgeous
Im the same with my photos - so will try later - imagine great big slabs on stone :)
