Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi Jenny good to hear from you again:-) Beautiful picture xx

Hi all, 25 degrees in Manchester today. Walked around Hollingworth Lake after a very nice pub lunch. Cooler near Rochdale, with a little breeze. Lovely to see all the sailing dinghies racing. Used to do that many years ago, preferred puttering to racing, as that was too much like work!
Hope everyone has been able to enjoy the sun today xxxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Hi seaspirit44 had many happy walks around Hollingworth Lake with hubby then with children while growing up complete with bikes and scooters. Lovely place happy memories bet it was busy there today xxx
Optimistic, it wasn't too bad. Plenty of space in the pub as everyone was sitting outside, lovely and cool. Traffic was OK too.xxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
I expect everyone has been out and about today - the weather makes such a difference to how we feel,, doesn't it. I walked - rather slowly but got to the café at the cliff top. Sun sparkling on sea with The Needles on the horizon.
Beautiful day, were were at sons for a late bbq lunch and walked around the area first, taking his dog. A short walk to the small shopping area then around to the linear park that leads to the hills and countryside, where they can let the dog off the lead.
Then sat chatting in their garden, they’ve done lots since we last visited.
Hugs xxx

Hi all
Spent the day at a friend's birthday party - I won't tell her age but I gave her a bus pass holder as a joke present ;)
She is just recovering from her second ride on the cancer rollercoaster and has the all clear but up to about a month ago, wasn't sure she'd be well enough for a party so it was a very lovely, but quite emotional day.
I managed a run this morning so here are some pics - no cygnets yet (I'm so impatient) but here is the family of coots out for a swim
Hope everyone's had a lovely day!

Hiya, lovely to hear about your nice things over the weekend.
i am much happier in the sunshine! Didn’t make it to the pub garden today as I have been quite weepy. Theres a contradiction! Seems to come and go at random. Anyways we sat in our garden instead and had a game of Scrabble which was good. Especially as I won.
had a very hot dog walk earlier, we were foraging for wild garlic, got a load. Then foraged some nettles out of the garden and made a soup with it all. I’ve had to put it in the porch away from the dog to cool off.
Have a good and cool evening
Hello folks
My walk today was through the woods next to me - only a short one with my cousin and her dog. The bluebells were out so it was very pretty. Forgot to take my phone/camera xxx
I have some wild garlic in my garden. What do you use yours for? Impressed with the nettled soup - very good life xx
Amazing phot Mirabo. I’m also impressed you are doing so much walking. I’m not through RT yet so can’t manage anything like that but you’ve given me a goal.
Best wishes
