Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Love Bakewell. Only about 30 mins from us. OH likes the whisky shop!
Hi. We can park by the showground and do normally. In this weather though I need electric to keep warm and for the Tv. OH will have a couple of bike rides which will do him the world of good.
A stroll round the town will be enough for me. There are some great bakery and pie shops.
Fingers crossed and toes.
Three times! What did I do?
Walk done. Sunny but still has a wind chill factor so knees rather . Should have remembered my thermals.

I'm replying to myself!
Today I've changed my bed including turning the matress.
Taken up a pair of trousers.
Been for a walk of 1.14 k in the sunshine, it's a bit windy but the first had gone.
Feeling Ok. Today I am on day 5 after EC on Friday.
Am I bragging! Yes! I felt so low this morning though it had to be done!
Stay safe. It's still icy in patches.

You’ve been busy Silverberg Hoping your mood has lifted after being so well occupied, especially as you have been out walking.
Liking the sound of pie shops in Bakewell. Don’t think I’ve ever been there.

Leelaloo Yes. That's clever of you to recognise it. It's an Irish bar but we had Hot chocolate not Guinness.......We chose it because it was on the sunny bank.
Luckily today the wind had dropped. No photos today. We walked around the huge Algarve retail park because the Sales have started and I needed birthday gifts for a 9 and 7 year old. A successful session so I was pleased.
The storm is looming for the UK. Please take care for a bit longer.
I hope your home in France isn’t affected too much by the storm, too, Lacomtekp as the mapping of the storm does suggest it might not be too bad there. I think the worst looks as if it will be northern France, Channel Islands and south west England, followed by the western parts of Wales. Stay safe, all.

Moomy
Thank you moomy for thinking of us. As luck would have it our son is heading to Brossac so if there is damage , he will be in the right place to sort any insurance. France is strict ....you have just 5 days to notify of damage but then they reply quickly too.
I must go. We actually have lovely weather so are going out for the day.
