Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Such blue skies today! The walk to the next town and back has become a weekly one over the past month. Did a slightly different route today but sat outside the same lovely cafe for coffee and toast. Photos are from a Nordic walk on Saturday - look closely for the deer, in Knebworth Park - and the river ones from today. Looks set fair for this week. Xx
Knebworth Park takes me back to seeing Led Zeppelin in the 70’s HappyFeet1
Did my fair share of steps and inclines last week in Lisbon. Back to local walks and gardening.

Lovely photos Flossie25 , would like to go to Lisbon. Would you recommend April to go there? I’m wary of going in summer as I think it could be scorchio and I don’t do well in the heat! And yes Knebworth Park was a great music venue! Probably still is! But I now love the walks there.
Just back from a few nights in Suffolk, glorious weather so lots of walking as well as some cafe opportunities. Photos are Orford Castle and the estuary at Snape.
Hi HappyFeet1
I'm looking forward to visiting Snape and estuary in couple of months as told it’s beautiful there!
also heading for parts of Norfolk.
where else did you go close to Snape?
thanks…
I walked round the shops yesterday with granddaughter and was so tired in the evening!! Lunch at 2.30 which was a bit late and probably didn’t help my weariness and achy legs!! Almost 10,000 steps…
some nicer walking to be done on these gloriously sunny days…
J
Orford castle is amazing so is the key side loverly lil cafe there , my partners parents buried in Orford church grounds xx
HappyFeet1 the weather in Lisbon was mostly “warmish” when we were there although it felt more so walking up and down all those hills!! It’s on the Atlantic side so might be variable. I always think April wouldn’t be too hot. Check out weather online.
Can empathise with aching legs Jayhay
Didnt do much yesterday as shingles jab threw up some major aches and pains. Today I’ll get out and must do some gardening. Need to get active.

Thanks Flossie25 , think it will definitely be a trip for next spring.
Jayhay we also went to Aldeburgh as we love it too! We swim there when it’s warmer, this time just a walk towards Thorpeness and back, detour on the beach to Maggie Hambling’s Scallop. And a potter round the shops. Can also recommend Rendlesham Forest, Minsmere RSPB reserve, Dunwich… so many lovely places in that area!
Pollyperk we walked through Orford church grounds twice on 2 different walks. And got ice creams from the Riverside Tearoom to eat on the quayside. Love Orford as well as the walks there.
Since getting back have done a familiar walk with friend to next town and back. So one photo is from that towpath walk. The other is blossom on local dog walk. Such great weather still. Xx
