Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.

Fantastic place Orford it’s like stepping back in time so restful and calm glad you enjoyed it .. we done a bit of crabbing on the quay side was a loverly bit of fun xx
I've had to put ' proper' walking on hold this week. Just my morning 30 minutes........
We have attacked the garden all week. There was long grass in flower beds everywhere because last year with mum declining I did the minimum. She did however choose my tulips which are still flowering although they don't like this spring's heat . We've had 25° every afternoon and expect 27° today.
She had good taste. The colours are so pretty.
Because it's so mild the grapes are flowering too. At least 2/3 weeks early.Normally we have plenty of time to leave the daffodils but this week we've had to clear them all away as we grow them around the vine bases.
We've also cleared a space for raised beds. We suddenly felt our age. They are waiting for us to transfer our red peppers and beetroots.
Hopefully next week we get back to walking without a lawnmower!
Gardens are such a lot of work Lacomtekp Wouldn’t mind a smaller one. Luckily our garden is “natural” and doesn’t have formal borders. I finished off the mowing yesterday and hubby started prepping for a new raised bed using the bricks from the old wall. Photo is me waiting for mower to be refuelled … I’m always happy to take a break.

Not done as much today. Did walk in village mainly because I had cards to post. Vishu today so hubby made payasam (vermicelli based milk pudding) and I did Pallack “curry” with paneer and chapatis. I got more exercise with the washing up

Love the peacock Flossie25 Have had a few lovely local walks this past week, with friend so always including a cafe stop. Yesterday was for the bluebells in a nearby country park. Clocked up 6.5 miles and ended up in a pub for a pot of tea. Xx
Glorious bluebells! They are out here in Yorkshire too, so lucky to see them.
I’ve walked an average of 3 miles each day, even those I’ve moved base. Quite pleased.
Hugs xxx
