Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Cloud watching today in Cumbria The Helm wind in action

I’m sure you’ve all been busy out and about. We were in Nice last week, back Saturday night. Weather was good, walked lots and suffered but paracetamol helped the aches and pains. Still feeling tired but catching up on sleep. I must remember I’m not “young” and have the added joy of Letrozole on board. Next trip it’ll be less walking and more on transport

“ The only constant thing in life is change “
Such beautiful blue sea. My parents honeymooned in Nice and so did my sister and brother in law. I haven't been there but have been to other places along the same coast. I can still feel the warm air on my skin as I think back over 30 years to when I was last there!
I feel for you with all the pains Flossie25. I found the constant walking on my holiday although not long distances, did ease my back a bit. But then we really didn't walk that far even though it felt like it!
Just walked my day 3km including the walk to and from the hospital to get my eye checked out. Walked the whole way there bent over as if in my nineties as my back is so stiff and painful. Every tiny dip in the pavement or even camber jolts my spine and causes me to yelp. I must look a very odd sight. Hobbling bent double, intermittently yelping and a black and sore eye!!
I must admit I was quite eased as they bumped me down after triage for about three people with broken limbs and digits but they made the lad of 16 to had punched someone really hard, wait. I shouldn't judge as he might have been defending himself but the way he demanded he be x rayed makes me think not. Oh and his mum booked him in while he had a cigarette outside!!
