So in 5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Lol, I'll openly admit I'm bonkers, it's one of the few things that gets me through, normally only with those that i either trust, or know well enough to be me.
Leo, i too would be at guest saturation point, although hopefully your next lot will have some idea what you're going through.
Wish my hubby was a bit more proactive and less moany about doing things, dh lost his rag last night as he was left to wash up and dry, 3 trays, can you believe it, on his own. I had already loaded the dishwasher. Funny thing is xmas day i started washing up, dried up the first batch and started washing up the next pile without a request to anyone to come and help me, just got on with it, like everything else in life. I did ask him to dismantle the tree and put away before as prob a bit too heavy a task for me currently, I've put all the baubles, tinsel, lights other decs in their boxes, tree is still sat in room, naked waiting to be put away. Sigh
Right thats my moaning done and dusted for now, first one of the year!
I'll celebrate that achievement with a glass of fizz to make up for non last night
Chink chink
Think I'll be joining you then using the empty bottle as a weapon. My big sis has offered to hold the hubby down whilst I insert said bottle in an appropriate orifice. Rubber gloves optional.
You've packed away Christmas oh. Still got a taste of glitter everywhere. Possibly as it is not hubby fav.
Tee hee
Now where did in put the corkscrew!!!
LLady xx
Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Surely rubber gloves are a necessity for majority of us now
The glitter and glitz is away as we're away for a quiet few days before back to school and work, can't think of anything worse than coming back and then having to tidy it away as well as get normal life stuff sorted too.
Still can't work out how you'll fit that bottle in his ear though. Lol.
Welcome to the group Deb.
I can honestly say that I don’t know what I would do without you all, good days and bad ones, there’s always someone about.
I’m happy to be in the bonkers list. I think the tag ‘barking mad’ should be saved solely for LL though :-D
Hope you’ve all had a good day xxxxxxx
Evening ladies!
Deb! So glad you found us, with help from Jolly. I failed miserably on the tagging!
Bonkers/ Barking Mad it all helps!
Jackie do hope you get seen quickly tomorrow and then your mind can be put at rest and whatever it is can be treated. Glad you got some sleep last night.
Just a quickie from me as got to spend bit of time online birthday shopping for Miss Libby this eve to make sure everything comes in time. I'm so easily distracted must focus on the job in hand! Had a nice day and much better getting out and about now drain moved. The numbness and wierd feeling seem to have increased since drain taken out but not painful at all and mobility wise can do the exercises fine so assume all is well on healing front.
Will catch up properly in the morning....in the meantime Leo hope your hubby is in a place of safety or has stopped making heavy weather of things. My husband today declared himself a unsung hero as he's been doing "loads" since my op. That would be the loads I always do!! To be fair he hasn't grumbled about housework too much...cleaning the hamster and fish out last night nearly pushed him over the edge though....
xxxxx
Good evening
I’ve decided something. Coming to bed early and chatting randomly to you lovely people has become a highlight of my day. Thank you
Jammy- LOADS of things to help. Yep. I’ve not got time dear hubby to write my list of things I just happened to do and hold down a full time job! So payback.! Luckily I didn’t achieve housework chores with the amount of huffing and puffing he does.!I’d be totally whacked if I did
Jacks - hoping that answers are available pdq.
Jolly - gawd don’t you just hate washing a tray. I mean awkward blighters. But looks like you are one lucky ducky with a few days of R and R. Now as to where the bottle was going .,,, ear was my last port of call. I do believe where I was going to put it some people - not from where we live- pay a lot of money to have a bottle inserted there
Deb - just to say over the past months (and prior 2 years ago) I’ve had the big c in my eyelashes and finger nails. Joking of course . But every new spot, latest rash all over face and chest ( previous post had big sis giving measles as a diagnosis . She was a secondary RE and English teacher!!!! Like she’d know) all have had me checking it out. It’s so so difficult . But the time I did have an issue 4 weeks ago the lovely people on here sent me to the GP. And they were right. But I’ve come to the decision if I’ve got a health issue I’m calling someone
Well waving goodbye to big sis tomorrow and bro in law who is still not good with his diagnosis . And it’s hello to friends. Then I’m going to stay in bed until next Monday’s appointment eating chocolates, leftovers, half packs of Pringles and the rest of the ‘yeah we need this’ food we didn’t eat for yet another year.
See you all in the morning
Be good until then
Take care
Leolady over dosing on Olbas Oil again
Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x
Evening leo, snuggled in bed sounds good plan to me.
My dh takes huffing and puffing to a whole new level, even the kids call him huffy puffy to me whe hes doing stuff. Don't reckon any of us have the time to write a complete list of tasks completed whilst also working a paid job
Yes those trays are damn tricky blighters, need tp be extra careful incase they bite you know
Sorry to hear your bil is still struggling with his dx
Snuggled up and snuffling but not sleeping
Olbas Oil is sooooo over rated
Seems like ‘once upon a time’ all you needed was appropriate lemsip/ night Nurse cold and flu remedies and you survived . Add a splash or two of said oil and a good nights sleep was not an issue. Since Ian landed and needed 2 ops to get the boot ; head colds, lurgy and any other @@ ap that we used to deal so easily with is NOT.
Add an unhealthy dose of self pity and the fact that after almost 3 hours of being in bed I’m not asleep. I’m fed up. Actually add to that p@@@@@@ off.
Well that’s a little better thanks for all listening
Be bouncing back tomorrow with further inappropriate comments and daft ideas
Take care

Plus small rants about hubby and guests.

Aw hope you managed to drift off eventually leo, as a big user of olbas oil i agree it sometimes is over rated and just doesn't do the job, plenty of naps in order today then.
Headi g off for a few days, may be able to ch3ck in in an eve, weather forecast not looking great. Hope lenny, and ian drown in it!
This time next week I'll have seen the oncologist.....eek. Why is it every appointment now seems to bring a dread of anticipation with it?
Did well for few days whilst visiting rels not to think about life too much, since back home and no4mal routine looms, it's back rearing its great big ugly face in full view again.
Take care everyone
