The operation

So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?
  • Good afternoon ladies, I hope you’re all having a good day.

No hangover for me today either, fireworks kept me awake but eventually got some much needed zzzzz’s after having very little the night before.

Think I may have lymphedema as my under arm is now so sore too. Not sure that gives you black bruising on the ribs but I’m calmer today. I did try ringing 111 this morning but after 40 minutes waiting to get through I hung up. Spoke to the hospital again just on the off chance there was someone I could talk to but no luck. Suggested I ring in the morning and ask them to bleep a BCN and they should get me through.

Loving the pic of Libby, bet she’s disappointed at lasting till 11.45 and then eyes closed for a sec and gone, bless her.

It’s a very wet and dark day here in Kent but sitting looking out into the garden it’s lovely to see a little robin redbreast searching through the leaves. I’ve got one eye on the cats but they are snuggled up, too wet for those lazy girls.

My OH doesn’t go back to work until Wednesday so he will be about for Hospital if needed tomorrow. I’m really going to miss him, the days seem so much longer when you’re on your own.

I tried the tagging but it didn’t work for me either.

  • Hi there thanks for hopefully bringing me onto this thread, Jammy R has told me what a good bunch you all are, I managed to join the other under 50 group ok etc but struggled with my naff techo knowledge how to find 'the operation' thread, anyway hopefully now I should be able to join you all on this rubbish time of our lives and cope better! Deb

  • Thanks JollyG for the tag to the thread!

Hi deb, welcome to our merry band of slightly bonkers when required group.

I've glanced at the u50 board but never joined in as yet on it

  • Lol, I think we have all been slightly driven bonkers by this nasty disease, im currently driving my hubby mad as ive had backache on and off and convinced its the nastyiness spreading, in fact im not slightly bonkers I think I'm now totally mad! It' just seems an all consuming worry but it' good to know we are all in this together xx

We are indeed, no matter the variations in our individual journeys.

Pull a chair up, grab a cup of mushroom coffee; this groups special blend, feel free to laugh; plenty of those, and wobble with us where necessary!

  • First of all I would like to announce I AM NOT BONKERS.

Officially that is not a diagnosis. And I was described as 'Barking Mad' never ever Bonkers

So now I've cleared the air  welcome.

Don't tell anyone but it is all the other ladies on the site that are bonkers shhhhh it wasn't me that said this

This is in total a great site as we can all lose the plot; moan about our other halves and get some excellent advice. Occasionally SOME people post bonkers things - like mushroom coffee!! Cussing and swearinf an optional extra. tee hee

Still we are all very very good at being supportive.

I want to big up LIBBY. WELL done sweetie I was tucked up in bed at 11pm. Nursing a delightful pink rash and a new cold. Woo hoo.

Sat watching hubby ironing bed sheets as my toys went out the pram today when he announced we have more visitors tomorrow. My sis and bro in law leave and they descend. Now the couple who are visiting are a lovely couple - she has double mx . But I just thought house back to ourselves would be nice.

Right I'm watching t'other half and my sister is helping with useful side comments from the safety of the settee.

Have a good evening lovely people and see you soon

    The definitely NOT BONKERS
