So in  5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Good evening lovely people
What a very busy day on the thread. Got the old iphone in one hand and laptop in the other
BUTTTTTTT
Today's most amusing post and laugh out loud post goes to......... Jolly. Lenny's possible exploits got a rip roaring laugh from me. And if he is out there with Ian they had better have their thermals on. Oscar nominations will be accepted soon.
I often have this feeling about those lovely people known as consultants 'What if that was my wife/sister/aunt/mother'. How would they react.
I once worked in teaching for an amazing man who had no children. He often said 'If that was your child, what would you want?' So all you medical profs out there ask that one of yourselves. OKAY
Jammy thinking the lovely Libby might just find her way into the medical profession. If I'd not fallen into the education one I would maybe.... Instead my youngest went that way. No fast forwarding one day at a time.Hope him in doors is feeling better in all ways.
Aliblue - hope this evening you sleep the sleep you deserve. On steroids like all good Russian gymnasts and athletes.
Jacks - I've made a note of your extra test and think a time without decisions to make and enjoying the festive season is so important. I'm seeing beautician later this week and will ask about blading.
Having read all the comments about ER HER + or - I must say I'm totally bemused. I took a decision 2 years ago to forgo RT based on an algorithm. NOW well hell and heaven knows. Maybe I made the wrong one. But as I have said here before ask me a question about my profession and I will answer. BUT suddenly the medical profession is saying here - poor person with no idea of the information - make a decision. NO YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONAL MAKE IT FOR ME.
Well that's my second rant of the day. Hubby went for an inappropriate comment today and has still got parts of his anatomy. JUST
Decs are up, tree arrived and needs decorating. Bought some new lights.
Youngest daughter and I went out to John Lewis and emptied my OAP fund .
Eldest one got 'get over yourself'. And did you know sweetie that your mommy has been everso poorly.
P******* off coz I've missed all my Rock Choir events. boo hoo.
I could post a sing a long should you require
Right 'Bedtime Barbie'.
God bless to those who have a day of sitting and listening to results
Take care

Aliblue,Â
Well done on getting through today. Hope it continues to be as manageable for you xx
Well up at 3am feeling sick  good some anti sick and it seems to be easing off now,  watching catch up tv and crocheting a scarf to mach a had I made earlier. New there were would be a positive in being up this early.Â
Stay strong ladies
Aliblue
Every cloud as they say plus you’ll have a lovely gift for someone or a nice new accessory set to wear. I too was awake at that time needed the bathroom then spent an hour coughing. The lurgy had left a mini lurgy. Â
Hopefully you got back to sleep or you have a refreshing nap sometime today
Jammy and Bigguy hugs and positive thoughts
Take care
LeoladyÂ
Hi ladies.
Ali -glad the anti sickness took effect and that you get a nice long nap today after your early start.
So the scores are in....
Grade 2, 28 mm tumor removed with clear margins. Wound has healed lovely, boob exactly as was before just with a scar which I have to say is much neater than expected.
However 2/3 nodes contained cancer cells so I need full axilliary node clearence. Surgey booked for 27 Dec, possibly day case but likely overnight and will have a drain in for 5 days to be removed on New Yr Day by District Nurse. What a lovely start to 2018 that will be!!
Chemo is now an almost certainty to looking like it'll be chemo end of Jan to end of May followed by rads.
Not the best news, long road ahead but all the talk was positive from surgeon and BCN. Very much "we're taking nodes to be safe and as of 27th all cancer will be removed, the ensuing treatment will insure you against recurrence and catch any stray cells which you probably don't have" Surgeon said given my age they will throw everything at it to get rid and stay rid and he is still positive treatment will be effective.
So feel Ok, could be better but no way is this thing stoppìng me doing anything. Gonna have a nap, put my brave face back on collect Libby from school and then we are out for a Xmas meet up with a group of mums and their kids who I met at baby group. Breast cancer must learn it will take a back seat to Libby's every growing social life!
Sorry for the "me" post. Just on my phone so can't read other posts but wanted to update you all whilst I'm in an "updating people" mood. Gonna try and switch off later.
Mr Sox - thinking of you today
Joanne
Joanne
Not the best if news for you so sending massive hugs and huge positive thoughts to share with all your loved ones.
Go lady have a ball with Miss Libby is the top priority because in that way you will make loads of amazing memories to look back on and proverbially flick a finger at this thing called cancer.
On that long road you will have so so many of us there in spirit and sending every possible hug.
Right shopping to unpack and tree to decorate
Take care lovely lady

Joanne,
Joanne
Just in from the hospital and read posts.Â
Sending you the biggest hug that can be sent and positive thoughts and love.Â
It’s good that your margins are clear and grade 2. A real bugger re the lymph nodes but as they say it’s to give you safety going forward.Â
You need everything they can give you to ensure a cancer free future.Â
It’s hard in a post to put into words how much all of you ladies mean to me. Days and nights on here have given me strength and courage and that’s what we will do for you Joanne, be here to support you and hold your hand along the way.Â
Sorry ladies if that’s a bit emotional but that’s how I feel about all of this news regarding all of you at the moment.Â
I hope everyone else is ok today, sorry but only have phone at moment so can’t check back on posts until later.Â
Sending you all love xxxx
Jammy, prob not what you were wanting to hear, but parts do sound positive, and I think we all have to take any positives that come our way. Wow to surgery on the 27th, crikey! but at least you'll know it's done, and you can hopefully relax at home til new year and beyond with Libs and hubby. Thoughts and hugs with you. At least being xmas they'll hopefully be plenty of good stuff on tv!
Well shock horror, BCN actually phoned me today - all she could tell me was that they are having a meeting with my consult on Tuesday to discuss what was discussed at the MDT meeting, then they'll contact me and let me know, suppose that save me phoning on monday as was told to do yesterday.
I don't know what Lenny's been up since we parted, but if he has had anything to do with the ice rink that is now our drive way I'd not be surprised. Nearly had an accident in my pants when I slid down the drive on return to work. Managed to skid to a stop in time before hitting the garage, but at least I know my left arm is quite capable of pulling on a handbrake hard in an emergency situation.
HAve a good evening all, and weekends. Will prob pop in later and over weekend to see what the gossip is
stay warm and safe!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
