So in  5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Thanks jacks77...…..a break from all the side effects p**p is most welcome. I had to have a total hysterectomy 12 weeks ago due to a complex ovarian cyst and thickened womb lining being found. The gynae oncology surgeon believes it might have been Tamoxifen related. Who knows?! I was just unlucky but happily the histology came back negative, so I feel like I've dodged a bullet there.
I'm now waiting for the results of my mammogram which I had on Friday. Seems waiting is the name of the game with this BC malarkey!
Hi all and Happy New Year,
jacks77 - I think exercise is great for helping with your mental health, as well as physical. Your wee gym sounds lovely. I say that as no gym bunny myself. I just started with the Macmillan sponsored Move More class at a local council leisure centre a couple of months ago, but it really helped my low mood. The instructor is such a laugh and we all have a tea and chat after. You also get 25% off any other classes. I now feel fit enough to try some normal ones (still recovering from 2 frozen shoulders). I’ve also made a commitment to get at least a 30 min walk in every day. It’s helped loads with my fatigue and my strength.
Yes, it’s sobering to think where we were this time last year - I’d just had 2nd chemo and my hair was nearly all gone. It’s lovely to read of recovery, healing and hope - even all the annoying things in life (big bloody vet bill for my gorgeous wee doggie’s teeth right in skint Jan!).
Hope you’re enjoying sunny (!) Scotland
Hugs to all,
Linda xx
Patience and faith
the post from Ayr was so funny!
jacks77....thankyou for your comment on letrozole.I found it helpful.Did you know there is a school of thought that the brand makes a big difference?I didnt know till I started here, but lots of ladies take “Accord”.Everybody is different and have their own preferred brand, but after much work by my wonderful lady GP,and Pharmacist working together, and much trial and error,I found it helps me the most.I do hope this helps xxx

Well 4 weeks have passed since mammogram and STILL no bloody letter...starting to get mightily annoyed now. Gonna give it Monday then get on phone to my long lost BCN see if she can help. Lesson learned is not acceptvan appt on 21 Dec again...next year I will bump it into Jan so can have xmas, new year and Libbys birthday without feeling sick every time I hear the post.
Rant over...
now sleep....or try to....
Awww JammyR that is bleeping ridiculous. Think we need to bring back the bingo card for failings and crappity situations
Back from Scotland and went last night to the ballet with a good friend. Her husband has had throat cancer, bowel cancer and now is off for chemo for liver cancer!!!!! I think I have mentioned them before as he is such a gentleman. She is looking after her sister as well in her home, so we jokingly call her Matron. And yesterday she was fast tracked for possible bladder cancer. I mean WTF!!!!!!!! I am sworn to secrecy, she is asking that no one knows so ...... I know you lovelies wont be in a situation where you know her. After I had dropped her home. I sat on the drive of my home and had a bloody good cry. This bleeping disease got a right battering of swear words from me.............. no bleeps just a full monty rant
ME .............. saw cardiologist yesterday for the pericarditis. No noticeable issues with the heart. ECG all fine. Now I have to wean myself off the meds. I will get another ultrasound and see him in 3 months. BUT ................ apparently back in 2016 they GP had received a letter telling them to put me on meds!!!!!!!!!!!! That was my first case of perithingy. The consultant showed me a copy of the letter. I shall be booking to see GP. If I had taken the meds back then there is a good chance it would not have come back last year. And ........ I would still be on Herceptin. Think we need a chat
So that's me. I am back to choir, Tai Chi and with swords this time. Ninja warrior style. Don't tell anyone the swords are foam for now then we get wooden ones. Tee hee. Started aquafit and hoping for a gallop with Jacmatholmad very soon
I think we need a meet up mid February???????
Take care and gentle hugs
Lindsay
STILL no mammo results! Very fed up....well over 4 weeks now. Couldn't get hold of BCN yesterday but spoke to the nurse who looks after me on the aspirin trial and she went across to investigate. Rang me back to.see no results on system, huge backlog and shortage of radiologists so when it will be looked at is anyone's guess. She is going to try and keep checking and ring when sees it has been reported to save me few days waiting for letter but just finding it all very stressful!
Hope everyone else is having a better week x
Hi ....that was so funny...sorry if I laughed...Tai Chi with foam swords!!sorry am in a flakey mood.and I love the “bingo card for crappity situations”!
I have actually dug my boxing gloves out again.I am not aggressive.Although I did grow up with a twin brither so a bit of it helped...but he is soft as butter inside
Now,where is tht weirdo who came looking into my window recently??
I am too shy to even approach him.
am going to,see if I could possibly be in the running for the bingo card for crappity situations
