So in  5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.
Shiny good luck with the nurse on monday, glad you have a bit more info and can put your mind to rest just a teeny bit.
so i felt the need to honour the origins of this thread....
So in just over 5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - not so randomly known as Lenny Jr.
On the afternoon list, kind of wish it was the morning then there wouldn't be the nervous hanging around until I can go in, and chucked back out of hotel NHS the same day.
Hope everyone else is managing to enjoy life and getting ready for the up coming winter season.
Soooo, , this time next week, op will be over and you’ll be back home being spoiled rotten xxxxx
still here. Still got your back. The Operation Gals!! I feel a Netflix moving coming on. Obviously Ian, Lenny Sr And Jr will have bit parts!
Hugs

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all doing well, I don't seem to get any notifications for ages then suddenly get loads all at once.
Christmas is fast approaching hope all you ladies who are due to have surgery have got all you shopping done.
My 2 foster children get very stressed at this time of year, they both have special needs and struggle with the change of school routine so behaviour can get quite bad. But ho ho ho and all that, we will get there one day.
One more day at work then enforced holidays until after xmas. To be honest I'll be glad of the rest, just had a blow up with ES for being a lazy fart, which i think was just my pressure cooker lid coming off after the last few weeks, but even so why am i the one who does pretty much everything round here.
Any how, yes Ali, thamkfully I'm pretty much done on the shopping front, am normally organised anyway so had a fair bit done before the bombshell hit, good job really if DH was involved, I'd dread to think what everyone would get. Lol Although I'm skipping a few family memebers out for various reasons this year, but will just use,the surgery as an excuse as why didn't bother, which sounds more callous than it is in reality.
Sat here enjoying the peace as i turned the tv stuff off at wall to get ES to go and do what he had been asked to do, he then went to his rm with the remote, which actually doesn't bother me as thurs night tv is rubbish anyway. Pmsl.
Roll on monday so the fam can then fend for themselves whilst i sit back with my feet up after a lovely drug induced sleep.
Maybe son needs to meet children. Bit of perspective pal !!
i used to say to my girls ‘ This is shit hey , let’s go to visit a children’s ward at a hospital ‘ !!!!! Funny hey. They never took up the offer
But then again no one gave son the ‘ how to manage mom having this shit again’ manual
But it’s ok we’ve got your back

will be thinking of you on Monday lovely. X
make sure you win in style tomorrow......you’ll be back in no time
hope you enjoy your weekend and will be thinking of you Monday whilst LennyJr gets his marching orders.
weve an early 10am game tomorrow, so much better than the graveyard slot!
Leolady56 I fully get what Ali probably goes through with her DK's , ES has his unique views and ways of dealing with stuff too, ah the joys of tourette's syndrome!
And no-one has the manual of how to deal with this crap, but it's been building for a while, despite whatever neuro challenges he has, he still doesn't have to behave like the rest of the entitled snowflake generation, especially when he's not be bought up that way, any how I digress.....
work is complete for the year, seems odd finishing 3 weeks before anyone else. Hockey tomorrow, early middle shift for me Jacs, 12pm push back, anything is better than the graveyard shift I agree. lol FX we both get a good win, and blast those demons away for an hr or so. YS has hockey beforehand for school, then U12 and |U16 hockey on Sunday, so will keep me occupied.
Last hurrah for LJ in there, parties have been banned.
Hi All. Well I had my op last Thursday 20th and had the drain removed before I left hospital. I had the dressing removed yesterday but I am having difficulty doing the exercises. My shoulder is fine and not stiff but the operation site is painful and also the drain site is painful. I am soldiering on trying to do the exercises but was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. I also seem to still have a boob ( well half a boob) and I am not sure if this is normal or is it fluid gathering. I am not due to go and see the surgeon until 11th December (my birthday) but again wondering if this is normal.
How do we know what is normal? I don’t want to waste the time of the breast cancer nurses if this is what I should expect so would be glad of any input from all you lovely ladies that have had mastectomies without reconstruction to see if what I am describing is normal.
i am hoping that I don’t have to start any treatment until after Christmas but with my luck I will have to start the week before Christmas
Rosie x
