So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

    Hi All

Glad everyone has had a good day.

I went for my boob fitting today, she had to order a different shape so next Thursday, bonus though she gave me a bra, free.

Got his nibs tomorrow to look at scar as I had infection 4 weeks ago and after 3 weeks of antibiotics then 5 days without he needs to give me the all clear to start chemo next week.

Part of me wants him to say no but the other part thinks sooner you start sooner you finish.

Oh well what will be will be

    Stay strong everyone

  • Good evening ladies, I hope everyone has had a good day.

I hope your feeling a bit better this evening Lindsay.

My appointment for my oncotype results has been postponed, 2 weeks of building myself up for it and now another week to wait. Won’t bore you all with the reasons for the postponement but just to say I’m not happy as to the excuses given.

The results will be the same next week as they would have been tomorrow so it’s not going to make any difference anyway so I’m going to plan some bits to do to pass the time.......present wrapping jumps to mind yawn yawn!!

Has anyone else got any appointments coming up this week, as I said the thread is too long to go back on and re check?

    Xxxxxxxx

  • Ali I hope all goes well for you tomorrow. Xx

  • Oh Jackie how frustrating my love. Can imagine your annoyance having psyched yourself up then having to wait another week. It's out of your hands so like you say all you can do is keep busy and keep yourself as fit and healthy as possible.

I still don't have an appointment letter for lumpectomy/SNB results. They said could be 25th but "probably following week". Again not much I can do, it does add the stress of having BC but trying to focus on doing something nice every day.

    Take care xxx

IT?? Like the clown?? You must be clever!!

I’m going to be a lady what lunches today!!

I will do as I am told though, this op has proper taken it out of me. 3 week recovery my big fat ass!!!! 4 weeks today & there’s no way I could go back to work.

Jammy....take it easy while Libby is at school. Everything will wait.

    xXx

Aw jacks that's a right PITA, nowt worse then getting yourself mentally prepared then to have it all mucked up, I'm like you what difference does it make, but guess they want to double check and make sure their plans are right for you.

I've still not heard anything following my post op appoint, so am preparing myself to contact BCN to see if they can tell me anything, I still never really got a proper answer to the pathology of Lenny either, other than a brief it's pretty much what we thought before surgery response, which may have been me not asking the right questions, but still, although he's not part of me any longer thankfully, I still want to know the ins and out of the old bu**er.

LL glad to hear you're feeling a bit better today, don't over do the galloping in church mind you!

Ali, glad your fitting went ok, even if you have to wait a bit longer for the right one.

I finally after 3 days got my cards written so it may well be starting the wrapping today, especially as the weather for later on is not looking nice.

  • Morning Ladies

Brilliant news LL, so pleased you are feeling much better.

I would 100% do the gallop in church, maybe even practice it in a few places before you get there lol.

Joanne my wait is nothing compared to yours honey and I get how stressful it must be for you. I’m just thinking, what’s another week in the scheme of things, nothings going to change, the results are there. Does give me a better opportunity to push for chemo after xmas now though if I need it......see I can even find a positive out of that disappointing negative.

Enjoy every minute of your day today ladies xxxxxxx
