.
Thank you toxophilite for mentioning this thread. I've been awake since 5:05 even though I was so tired, after visiting youngest daughter, family and friends and driving 150 miles home last night. But I'm regularly awake between 2 and 5.
Love the "little piggie" pics. Really made me smile. Eldest daughter rehomes little piggies and I'm sometimes called on to "piggie sit" if they're away.

Welcome , obviously we can all totally empathise with the being wide awake at stupid o'clock!
I hope you find the thread entertaining but also that you add your own comments and funny pics! We all enjoy a giggle on here oh and of course a Guinea Pig Pic or 2 :-) xxxx
On the train home with L.N.P a huge smile on my face after an exhausting but wonderful few days! I really have to do it more often!
Well fingers crossed for a quick trip home! In the years I have been travelling I have heard of many reasons for delays, but NEVER this one..............
It did make me laugh! xxx
Hi All, I had such a lovely time yesterday at the meet up. What a really lovely bunch of fruitloops you all are. So sorry that many of you couldn't make it, but hopefully we will see you at future meets. I can't explain to anyone outside of this group how this lifted me, as they just won't understand. The only way I can explain it, is to say it felt like Christmas! Thank you all so much LondonLass, toxophilite, , Twinkle51, , and (even though you couldn't make it, we felt you there in spirit). I bet you I've missed someone out! If so, major apologies. I'd love to say chemo brain, but I've always had a rubbish memory! Lol xxx

None of us wanted to be in this group, but we are glad we're not alone.
Diagnosis 2/8/17 IDC Her2+, 22mm, with spread to several lymph nodes. TCHP chemo started 23/8/17, Mx with immediate, temp recon 24/1/18, rads 20/3 to 10/4/18, Herceptin by IV until Nov 18. RR Mx Jan 23. Still waiting for reconstruction, but opting for simple implants, as opposed to Diep, due to long waiting lists for diep.
Thank you LondonLass. I'll have a talk to some of the piggies, but will have to sort out some hats!!
Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone X
PS. I think that little chap might be doing his own  "guineapig train".  My daughter often helps out with that getting the little rescued piggies from one part of the country to the other. Â
Hi London Lass so glad it went so well you all looked lovely on your pic x.Â
Now your heading home I wonder if I can have Lucky Pants for Monday and Tuesday. Monday is bisphosphonate infusion and Tuesday is oncologist appointment .Thank you xxxxxx
Hi All, has anyone had fluid build up during radiotherapy? I have a swelling below my collar bone and it feels a bit like fluid. Not sure if it is a concern, but can't help but worry as I have rads again tomorrow!

Hi Jo
I didn't  have radiotherapy but it took a while for everything to settle down - it was a year ago last week I had my mastectomy and immediate implant and I do think it has only properly settled these last few weeks, I don't think it's been too long since your op ? Best to get it checked out anyway x

Hi Optimistic, of course LP will be with you on Monday and Tuesday. Can I ask which bisphosphonate you are having and how often? If you don't mind me asking!
JoDec, Jo I think swelling can happen especially in that area, that's where I got the biggest burn because the Rads are against the collarbone. However as its your last one tomorrow ask the Radiographers and request to be seen by the Doctor or Nurse, there is always someone there that you can talk to. Better to get it checked rather than worry about it! ((((((Hugs)))))
I'm safely home being kissed by Bella, I think she missed me. Telling mum and dad about all you lovely Ladies. I really hope we do another meet up soon. With the northern and Wales based people too. It'll be great to have a photo with EVERYONE from the AWAKE thread! I'd bring L.N.P too, although hopefully soon he'll be Lucky Pants! I have mum and possibly Prickles () on the job!
Hope everyone is having a relaxing day. Special ((((((((((((hug))))))))))))) for Violetsniff, , and because I think you could all do with one! Xxx
hope you are okay, don't think I've seen you on here for a while! Unless I've just missed you! Xxx
wombat.23, hope the move went well and you are beginning to settle in! Xx
Hi Jo . I’ve finished day 10 of 15 and radiotherapy tomorrow. Since my last blast on Friday my breast is swollen and I have a fluid filled pouch like area just under my breast . My review was Friday and I was warned this might happen . It’s a side effect of the inflammation and rays . I was told it could happen between day 10 and 14 post treatment but any time really . Just check with them tomorrow obviously but I was warned about this . Maria aka Twinkle51 xxxxxxx
The best advice given to me was “ take it one step at a time” . Twinkle51 xx
