.
Might take more than fairy dust tonight. I've question after question buzzing in my head. None of which can be answered till we get all the results from evetything.
I am curious to know how they anticipate getting chemo into me. As soon as I say "I've no lymph nodes on the right side and only partial set on the left everyone starts running round like headless chickens trying to decide where they'll stick a needle in me. Every single person says " I'll just go check with my Supervisor/ boss/ consultant/ god!!!! " The lady last week, doing my genetic blood test, was walking round in circles in a state of panic! It doesn't inspire confidence. Am I such a rare beast nobody has previous experience? I
Aqua fit for me tomorrow so at least I know I'll sleep. It will probably be in the garden on the sun lounger but at least my head will stop buzzing.
Night all
Three times! What did I do?
Definitely sounds like a portacath would suit you. It sits on your chest under your skin and goes into a vein in your neck. I got one as my left arm acquired blood clots after first chemotherapy sessions. It was fitted by the Central Venous Access Team at hospital and has been great. It can be used for blood tests too.
I think the Acces team at my hospital could probably get dugs and blood in and out of stones if they had to! Some people seem to be able to gets cannulas put into their arms repeatedly but my veins didn’t last long and they’re scarred enough to make even a blood test a bit difficult.
All the best xxx
I agree, Cynoptimistic , it does sound as if a portacath would be the best solution to Silverberg s problems. Do ask about it?

Not tonight. Not enough fairy dust, alcohol or drugs to stop my head from buzzing. How long is this going to take. Id like the old cancer back. Lump found surgery booked and sorted in two weeks. I swear this thing feels like it's growing by the second.
I've booked a Look good Feel better session for mid September. Will I need it then or maybe I should wait and book when treatment starts.?
I went to Aqua fit today and almost felt like a fraud as it seems such a long time since the first tests and diagnosis.
This week is a quiet week. No plans except another ultrasound. How many more pictures do they need?I
This is costing me a fortune as I shop my way to calm!
Still feel like a penguin. " Smile and wave, smile and wave! "
Three times! What did I do?
Good morning...
Silverberg ....I do hope you slept eventually.
For a change I slept almost all night. I woke in the early hours to find I was still clutching my kindle, book I open, page unread. I roused just enough to put it safely away and then slept until 05.30!
The heat is reducing slowly but ' cooler' yesterday meant 34° and all day I thought a storm must arrive because the humidity was so high but no.....a quiet night and it's already 20°.
I have family visiting so at least collecting the many showers people are taking means the plants are getting watered.
It's very dark this morning. Have you noticed how much longer the nights are?
Hopefully a quieter week than last week....no fires, or excessive heat. Just normal things like blood tests, pharmacie rv's and GP appointment!
Take care all. I'm off on my walk as soon as I can see the path ......
Hello all, Lacomtekp I’ve noticed the reduction in daylight hours too, it’s started very quickly, it seems.
Hope that fire risks are easing everywhere, parts of Europe seem badly hit and it’s such a worry. The countryside here seems very brown and almost tinder-dry so it’s a continuing concern. Yet in parts of the world there are flash floods in the monsoon season with destruction of houses from landslides.
Try to stay safe, all
