That is such sad news. I shall be thinking of her poor children. Life can be very cruel at times.
Yes please to some fairy dust….my body clock is set every morning to 4.26 precisely. Hit or miss if I doze back off. Perhaps not this morning, just taken off both my outer dressings for my lumpectomy and lymph node…my poor booby understandably looking very battered and bruised and my underarm smiling at me with a row of shiny staple teeth…oh the joys..all looking like healing nicely though. Stitches and staples out next Tuesday.
Good morning....another early start. The nurse is coming before 07 30 to take mum's blood. Mum is not happy ...'.Why? '....she keeps asking and I keep explaining that the system here does regular tests ( usually once a year) so that doctors can keep a check on a selection of problems that show up in blood.
Northerner I hope your lung scans go well. It is such a good idea. ..preventative medecine. The French system does incline towards that too and catching anything as early as possible. OH and I have a number of regular checks for things we don't have to monitor our health.
Mag123 ...wishing you a better day. Hope you are treated well by your work colleagues. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do you need to be back at work? I'm sure you could extend your leave if you don't feel up to dealing with their ignorance.
moomy ...Have a good day with Henry
Grogg .....and any other SW residents. Thinking of you all in the weather and hope you stay warm and safe. Too many accidents out there this morning.....
Love to all. Must be ready for nurse now.
Awww, Ochno I hope the sleepy dust helped? You’re in an odd place just now, but I’m sure will be much more comfortable once those staples are out! Mine got glued which I suspect is less itchy-making. The bruising does take a while to go, boobs take an age to get back to their proper shape and colour, it seems.
Lacomtekp hope your Mum appreciates how good the system is over there. Have a good day with her.
Northerner , thinking of you with todays scan and hoping all is fine.
Mag123 hope things are easier for you today, I agree with others that you maybe should have felt more time out would help you, have you a union rep or even a good HR team you could talk through your concerns with?
We had a better night in spite of the cold, I’d given Henry an extra throw and he stayed snuggled up all night. Just been out for the ‘essentials’ walk in a frosty park, photo following.

Lacomtekp hope your mother has recovered after her funny spell. So she able to stay with you permanently in France? Has your sibling stopped using your mothers money to subsidise their lifestyle.
Ochno glad you managing some sleep. Rest is the best medicine and every morning you wake your another day into recovery. We all need moomy fairy dust.
Northerner your bra code very timely for a new lady on another thread so thank you.
Mag123 hugs, you don't need this hassle.
That's the extent of my tagging skills but thinking of other fruit loops. Good luck yo all those having scans/results/treatment etc,
Nothing exciting here in S Wales. I had dermatology appointment last week for new mole on face. Told it's harmless and common in over 60s. I'm not 60 for 11 months
Cold and sunny today so I've my primark fur lined leggings on under joggers so nice and cwtchy.
Scan all done .. apparently targeted lung assessment still in pilot . Will get results soon lungs checked first then will look at others areas on scan which include MX site and kidney . Will call back even if only small anomaly anywhere for further scan . Will get routine call back in about two year similar to mammogram pattern . At the moment age bracket 55> 75 I think
Gosh! Glad it’s all done and hope results are good.
