  • Hope everyone had a decent Christmas.  I succumbed to the bug doing the rounds     two days ago and still feeling tired despite sleeping for 12 hours last night !

I'm tempted to take my tree down now.  lol our away my reusable gift bags I made so I find next year.  I've ordered on line 4 metres of Xmas fabric on the sale to make more for next year.  Just £14 including delivery for the fabric.  Here's a few I made this year.  I'm also going to make some birthday bags .

  • It looks as if my delayed Christmas will be even more delayed as the chaps are still not testing negative yet, curse Covid! We are now hoping for Monday….

Night night Fruit Loops all, lovely to see some previous names on here…. sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all (including   )

    Hugs xxx

  •    oh what a shame about the chaps, but just think, when everyone else is getting back to some normality, all your festivities will be just beginning!

That fairy dust must have been blown off course last night, unfortunately it definitely didn't settle anywhere near me Frowning2️

  • Good morning Dicha

Sorry to see you are also wide awake. I did manage a few hours of sleep but the pain in my shoulder woke me a few minutes ago. I am sure I am going way over tge number of paracetamol permitted in 24 hours! I count myself as having had a good night if I get more than two hours of sleep.

What has kept you awake at this hour?

  •    &  sorry you not sleeping.  I'm normally a poor sleeper but this virus is making me so tired I'm sleeping .  I slept 12 hours yesterday till home 11am.  I. Bed asleep by 8pm last night and just got up now 6am eating toast as starving !

sorry your festivities postponed again.  Hope Monday is a go!

  • Good morning...  and  .....

Sorry to read you had bad nights sleeping.  ....what is wrong with your shoulder? Last year I had physio for mine and some very simple exercises with 500g weights and elastic bands really helped. Message me if you want to know more.

....I think you still have lovely weather. My son and his partner are having a ' honeymoon' in Morocco after a PACS agreement. They drove down from Bordeaux to Cadiz last week to catch the ferry. They have continued now and have reached Agadir. I really like his partner and she said she thinks of me as a m-in- law so that was nice.

...shame about the delay for your get together but the delay is so sensible. It would be worse if you didn't get to see them through the year but you are all such a close family that next week won't really spoil things. Also many countries , Dicha in Spain included, will be celebrating on January 6th as much as at Christmas.

and  ....sorry to read the bug caught up with you and your families. Hope you are all soon well.

....I never knew guinea pigs could be so large. Personally I would be afraid ( dogs and cats scare me too) but I can see you are going to love her.....enjoy your week off. Don't let them call you back in. Caring properly is hard work and I only have one person  You need time out for yourself......( p s. I am ok with mum just acknowledging  that it is totally time consuming both physically and mentally.)

Love to everyone else. Macmillan will throw me off if I list anyone else but I loved catching up with all the ' oldies' . So many five year clear and plus....must surely encourage all our new friends. We are here and we're staying!

    Take care all.

  • I am hoping the lack of response means you managed to get back to sleep

  •    sorry I didn't reply. To be honest I decided to clear the ironing rather than sit on the internet.make use of energy levels before they start reducing as the day goes on!

yes we are still having lovely weather. Mornings are a bit chilly, but sunshine all the way every day. You are right as far as January 6 is concerned. Here in Spain that is the date the three kings visit every town with presents. It's definitely more like Christmas here then, although santa ...or Papa Noel...is becoming more and more popular.

I love watching the three kings parade. They arrive on horses, or camels, and children are lifted up so the kings can bless them. The excitement on the children's faces is wonderful!

  • Northerner and Grogg, I hope you are both feeling better soon and the bug didn't ruin Christmas for you. I felt quite poorly but still managed to enjoy the time although I did have to retreat to bed early on  a couple of the days.

Moomy I think delayingvthe party until everyone feels better sounds very sensible.

Lacomtekp how exciting your son and his partner are having a honeymoon in Morocco. It sounds very exotic.

Dicha the temperatures out your way sound lovely. The Jan 6th celebrations sound fascinating. You will have to send us pictures. While we were in Prague early December they had their traditional celebrations which included someone dressed up as a monster who would go around scaring people and hitting children with a real whip. It was quite barbaric!
