I’m in same boat, can’t sleep as still feeling sick after first cycle. Just sipping water and peeing a lot. Contemplating reading other 3622 pages on this thread to catch up and learn about the remarkable people here who I’ve already found so inspiring.
Good idea . I’ve just listened to a gong workshop ( found the gongs soothing ) now up to make a cup of tea . Sorry you feel sick . Is that the chemo cycle you have started ?
Look your probably sick of advice but ginger tea ?

I do hope that PenelopeJ57 and
you have found some sleep in the last hour. I am just getting up now. I had a good night for a change.
Have you tried ginger infusions to sip for the sickness? It was all I could take when I was very sick. I shouldn't attempt to read the thread if you're looking for ' remarkable.' We're just ordinary people like you who were often awake through the night. Because we all understand what it feels like, we have built strong virtual friendships that offer support, advice and laughter. The laughter has been so important.Hopefully you can be encouraged by the many contributors who are five years plus past treatment.
As for the arm pain......my surgeon was very honest. He told me healing takes a long time Some of the internal breast scarring takes years before it stops aching. I still get twinges six years on. But the node pain should improve. He told me at least six weeks if I exercised and avoided lymphodemia which is more common if more than the sentinal node is removed. I remember thinking one day after about seven weeks.....oh, the arm pain has gone. He was quite accurate in my circumstances. However, if you are in pain.. ..get it checked. Someone needs to look at it too.....insist. Not just guessing by phone.
I hope you both have a better day. I'm sure you'll be asleep now. My fingers are slow today. Not a good start.........
Take care. Love Karen
No Karen still up ! But taken some co dramodol , cup of tea and a hot water bottle . Feel comfy .
Thankyou for sharing that info with me . Honestly this pain is getting me down . I am a pretty stoic person normally . I mean I had spinal surgery 10 years ago which , although a big operation I seemed to sail through recovery and pain wise in comparison to this .
Yes I’m phoning my BCN this morning .
What pain relief did you take ?
Im 5 weeks today from surgery so if your saying seven weeks funny enough that already makes me feel better . I mean I had to have surgery on both boobs to remove tumours . My right breast is just a little bit uncomfortable it’s my left side that’s giving me more jip. Apparently one of my lymph nodes was so engorged on that side from silicone they had to “ dig it out.”
Thanks Karen xxx
