Being vaccinated just means you are less likely to have severe disease, be hospitalised or die. You can still transmit coronovirus. You can still get COVID. A friend has recently had COVID and she was doubly vaccinated. She’s left with a cough, which will last for a while, but she had mild disease.

I phoned my GP surgery this morning to book flu jab only to be told they had not been delivered.

    Have a good night x

  • Yes, , daughters partner was double jabbed when she was, caught it via fomites, was really poorly feeling as if she was trying to walk at ultra high altitude for a week. She’s had a second week off work as she wasn’t recovering that fast, but is just beginning to recover some taste and smell now and it’s 3 weeks since she came into contact.

  • Good morning........

I am late today. I have been busy.

There will be changes today for travel. Fingers crossed it will make it easier for me to visit Mum and Dad as Dad is back in hospital ......only home 2 days.....with yet another urine infection.

Love to all. Great the rads are finished. Keep using the creams. If you're just starting my clinic gave out hyaluronic acid cream. This was excellent.  No redness at all. I believe lanolin is not advised during treatment and washed skin is essential but afterwards....just keep moisturising for a few weeks.

Chemo days must be ticking down too. Sorry if you're very sick but trust us....it will be over soon.

Take care all. I am off to breakfast with OH now. The coffee smells good!

  • Hi,I have just been having an interesting read of all your posts back a few days …sorry to hear about the dizziness,..but am sure it is all over by now.

I used to do Nights and Days in the same week for two years.I feel it shouldn’t be allowed.

your post was funny about your daughter screaming for so long after you had her ,but I am sure it couldn’t have been funny at the time.

My sleeps seem to be calming down now and getting better….although I don’t want to speak too soon.

I went through a few weeks of making myself wake up much earlier than usual and by bedtime I was tired enough to sleep.I had got into a terrible pattern.

I like my GP he is everso straight forward.

we sometimes forget we can run these things passed him/her.

Hoping all well as much as can be expected .

Am staying in to recharge batteries today …have been doing so much lately !,(but that also aids sleep)

  • Happy birthday !

I was interested in the comments re masks. I despair of this government. Cases are rising and People are not wearing masks or socially distancing. As says, we should have the liberty to live safely!!!

    Love to all fruitloops xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Yes, I agree, masks in enclosed spaces should have remained mandatory, it’s so short sighted to have stopped that! I suspect it wasn’t masks that had prevented our kids from catching it, son from his manager during a meeting, daughter from her partner just before partner shot off to mums with Henry-pup. Now fully vaxxed but chock-a-block full of antibodies, said partner feels well enough to work next week though won’t be doing a 2 day stay in London, opted out of that thinking it would be too much as it would involve long days.

    so masks work!
