.
Hi Northerner, up until just the last few days we were hoping to make a day visit to check and clean - then the advice changed re travel so now waiting until the middle of April. Hubby has got new batteries delivered today - the old ones have been on the boat for over 6 years so definitely on borrowed time ! Glad you got everything cleaned and sorted ready for your next visit. So now we will go and sort everything and go for a trip straight away all being well! Think the car might be a bit loaded up ! xx Kwissy
fingers crossed Kwissy with any luck we'll get a spell of good weather mid April . We've had one extreme to other for the route over Pennines last weekend . Snowfall on Friday night then winds on Sat night Sunday .
It got that bad that A66 ( our only route ) was closed to high sided vehicles but they still go across then get blown over at top so by 10pm they put snow gates down to stop all traffic . Didn't reopen til Monday afternoon .Then today we go over and sit on decking to have lunch .
Now we got tomorrow to look forward to ..our youngest grandchild is home from uni and is visiting the Garden .
Oh that sounds lovely @Northerner! Yes those cross Pennine routes can get blocked very easily, no wonder the Snake Inn has extended opening hours during the summer months! I’ve been in the Lakes when all 4 seasons happened in as many hours!
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Oh that’s so annoying LondonLass . I can’t remember but I think you persuaded them to anaesthetise you last time and it wasn’t as bad as the first time. Hopefully subsequent ones aren’t too bad either. Fingers crossed it only needs checking every few years. Sending big hugs xx
I do love your posts Northerner and this one is an especially good one - it’s really resonating with me today.
I haven’t caught up on everyone’s posts but wishing you and your families well and lots of luck for anyone waiting on results and procedures. Especially you and your husband moomy
