Happy birthday enjoy your day x
It's lovely to see her happy and healthy She lives with her partner in Caversham all her family are here so it was worrying . Especially when her partner caught it from her thankfully both young and fit so stayed at home . Eleanor works from home because of covid but uses train and tube to get to Notting hill once a week she did say it was back to being too busy on public transport and changing to later train just before she caught it . She works for Monsoon a lot of her work is sent by courier she's a material and garment technologist . So thankfully still got a job !
Glad you enjoyed your walk yesterday another small step forward for you . Remember one day at a time
Hi Grogg, Yes , that definitely seems to be the case here in Wales - we travelled to the Cardiff vaccination centre for ours. Co- incidently my brother and sister in law also had theirs yesterday in a vaccination centre in England-both in their early 70's - and Pfizer vaccine. So maybe other parts of UK are doing the same.Either way as long as most people have one of the vaccines it will help us overcome this dreadful virus. I hope your Hubby is now over his side effects and it hasn't put him off the second dose. xxx Kwissy
Thank you Northerner! I am working from home and trying hard to concentrate! Already been for a walk at 8am and now trying to work, but for some reason I am dwelling again! Looked up phycological issues around mastectomy and it mentioned the d word! Head in a spin since, then I have had to tell a couple of people at work and the more you say it out load the more you have to believe it! Looked at bras this morning and that seems like a minefield.
sending hugs x
Hi to help me get over hurdle of telling people I chose to tell one in each group i.e. Ex work colleagues,
caravan friends, neighbours ,friends . Then asked them to tell others but to explain I didn't want sympathy and definitely no little head tilt but to treat me as normal . I then found I could talk about it if I wanted to which made it easier to accept .
I also stayed away from research and google as too many scary stories . I found this forum the best place to come for info and space to breathe .As regards bras Asda do a front zip post surgery bra at very reasonable price not much good for me as I'm large cup but have heard very good reports about them . I used a m&s one with a pocket for prosthesis . I also got bra extenders online so I could extend bra band on days I was swollen still use now on occasion
Ive also used online site Nicola Jane.. they have a good selection plus a telephone fit service . You can also buy pockets to stitch into a bra so it can take a prosthesis.
At the moment i would just concentrate on some thing to come home in .
Now get back to work
Dear ...it sounds like you have “brain fog”.I had it too...I think it is the combination between shock and anxiety...it is a well-known result of being told and it does go after a while.
Try to talk it out with a good friend or,someone understanding c ,like Macmillan who are always at the end of the phone...all your feelings about it all.
Love Violet xx
