Good luck today Squeaky1 hope your appointment goes really well. Your poor son I hope he's feeling less upset now he's home with you. Hopefully your appointment goes well and that cheers him up too. I hate to see children and animals upset or suffering - adults too but children and animals in particular is heart wrenching.
Sending hugs and good wishes.
Good luck to anyone else that I might have missed - I'm struggling to keep up there are so many.
Grogg Glad your hubby is getting his jab hopefully you will follow shortly. I hate the dentist, i have such a sweet tooth I have lots of crowns and fillings.
@puzzler hope your increased dose doesn't cause you any bother. Good luck
Santababy Hope the volunteering is going well santababy and the job search too xx
Sending Hugs and good wished to all fruit loops xx
Hi GodWilling I have another volunteering session on Friday, it is so rewarding and an amazing process, they do approx 1200 jabs a day which is just mind blowing. Waiting to hear back on a couple of job applications at the moment.
How are you and the family, when is your next appointment/meeting? This waiting must be dragging for you. Lots of love chick xx
I would love to do something that helps people because as you say it is really rewarding. Your brave putting yourself at risk like that even if you've had the jab.
I have my follow up tomorrow with my surgeon and it could be that he has my results. I've been too scared to ask because if he says he has but won't tell me over the phone then I'm going to assume the worst. So I'm trying to keep busy till my appointment at 18:30 tomorrow.
LondonLass Can I have LP tomorrow please. I have to confess I also thought he was a hamster and that his size was because of all the treats he keeps stealing - so I've only been taking low calorie snacks with me I promise I'll take him proper treats tomorrow.
xx
My family is all good Santababy, we are all patiently waiting. Your grand kids are adorable, do you get to see them much? How many children do you have?
I have 2 boys, 25 and 21, both grand babies are from the eldest. I only see them over the phone at the moment, they live close but we are being ultimately careful, last physically saw them just before Christmas through the window so have plenty of hugs banking up for when I get my hands on them xx
My two boys are 21 and 22 so about the same age as yours. Haven't seen then in a while but I don't mind because they are happy where they are and that's all that matters. I prefer them not being here while I go through this cancer rollercoaster as it would worry them more. If I had grand kiddies though I'd find that really hard. I have a huge soft spot for children and having grand kids must be quite amazing.
Hope you get to see them soon. xx
Violetsniff LP on his magic carpet!xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
can’t believe you are still having to do everything yourself! Hope the increased chemo dose dies the trick without making you ill. Xx

In shock and reeling somewhat! 40% removal as large area with some invasive found! Op w/c 15th Feb Lumpectomy with reconstruction or mastectomy which wasn’t even a choice last time I went. Blood pressure through the roof and said I need some meds from GP to calm me down! No shit Sherlock!
Hi Squeaky1, sorry it was more than expected. It sounds like it's all still removable so hopefully that's the case.
I was given option of lumpectomy or mastectomy too. I discussed with surgeon and decided on lumpectomy if they could remove it all otherwise they should feel free to go for mastectomy without bothering to bring me round - doesn't work that way apparently.
Point being if they have offered you either or then it sounds like a lumpectomy should suffice. When you recover a bit from the shock you should speak to your surgeon again and ask which he would recommend and the pros and cons of each. How much is in there doesn't matter so long as they get it all out and it sounds like they think they can.
First time you hear mastectomy can be a bit of a shock so take some time to let it all sink in and then discuss with your surgeon.
sending love and hugs xx
