.

  • and  do so agree about these ignorant selfish people flocking ti and desecrating the beaches. After July 4th we will be at very much more risk when 1m distancing starts. Take care both of you on your caravan trips! I don’t feel safe walking during the day now, hence the early mornings. Worse next week! xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • That has to be the point the guideline is still 2 metres the crunch is wherever possible . If mitigating circumstances then metre plus with face covering . Ie bus, train ,school ,shops.

Shielded letter states I have to strictly observe SD even after August at 2 metres when outside my home . Unless mitigating circumstances.

Boris and friends don’t word it correctly he should never have said moving to metre plus . When what they meant was two metres but at times that won’t be possible so cover up mouth and nose . Bloody idiots .

Just makes me so mad that we feel unsafe because of idiots . Take care on your walks the only places I’ll be walking in Cumbria is wide open spaces .

Don’t hesitate to tell people to back off . If you’re not comfortable .

  • Hello Fruit Loops,

I hope you are all managing to 'Stay Cool'.... wow this weather is warm, I want to moan about it.... but .. well, which is better rain or sunshine arrrghhhh - all I know is.... 'I'm melting'.

Owww and as for Social Distancing - my dear mum (nearly 90!!) has stayed inside her house for 15 weeks. I have done the same and my other half as only gone out to collect prescriptions from Chemist.  Now then, over the past few days she has 'popped' out to the front garden to water the potted plants by the front window - straight out and back inside.....

Hmmm that was until today, when she locked herself out arrrrghhhh..... so goes next door to ask if they can phone me to bring spare keys.  All fine, off we go.... arrive at mums.... mum is on the drive standing next to fence talking to next door neighbour - neighbour is leaning on the fence - so I'd say about 3'0" between them..... I am livid, livid beyond words, mum isn't the brightest button - however, I 'think' she understands the 'keep away' - well, I thought she did.  Neighbour is out all over the place and saying we have more to worry about (certain things have gone on in the neighbourhood that I think he was referring to).

In mums back garden I say about the risks 'I'm not bothered about all this' (I can understand how she feels, but, I'm sorry you have to be bothered..... I say, you are been unfair to yourself and unfair to me..... you are putting me at risk blar blar

I am so worried....  Neighbour could of picked it up following the incident earlier in the week, could un-knowingly have it and, now un-knowingly could of given it to mum and in turn mum could of given it to me or I could of got it from talking to neighbour when I first got to the bungalow arrghhh. ...... I am worried about this and yet others just go out and carry on regardless - its so not fair.

Fruit Loops - I'm going, I'm waffling.  Sending Love to you all ..... Stay Safe and Stay Hydrated xxxxxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
  • Dear ..I am with you all the way and you’re not waffling!
I have ended up with accepting that I can only be responsible for my own actions. How can I be responsible for people who cavallierlly ignore all directions? The worst thing is, you have somebody else( your Mum) to think about.

i have a neighbour ignoring guidelines and putting me at risk when my window is open.At first I got myself all riled up about it.But it wasn’t doing me any good..and in the absence of any other help,I had to decide to close my window at any given time she was outside, and put my blind a third of the way up.If I can’t see her face I am ok.Honestly...don’t let it get to you.Do your best for your Mum,and I think it is improbable that the germ has been passed on,from what you describe.I am not an expert, but the levels of infection being passed on are relatively low,at the moment I think.Lots love Violetsniff xxx
