  • Hi Helen, welcome to our ever growing night time club! Sounds like you could do with a (((((((((((calming hug))))))))))

A wedding how exciting......but stressful......try not to worry too much, things will fall into place. As for entertaining on the Sunday, they'll all still be knackered from the wedding, so don't worry too much. I'm sure they'll be having a lie in (lucky them) and then they'll be keen to get home ;)

Your daughters wedding should be a fun day! Don't spoil it by getting too worked up! Take a deep breath and calm yourself! Now back to sleep you go.......sweet dreams! Xxx

    Hi Helen

What is about us CC''s that we never sleep.

Don't envy hubby doing the Beds to Hampshire to Beds trip just before the wedding done it so many times in one day oh the joys of the M3 the M25 and the M1 glad these days are behind me.

Congratulations to your daughter on the wedding I'm sure that it will be a wonderful stressfree day for the guests,

It's 4:30 is it worth trying to get back to sleep or go out and stop the birds chirping they must be the birds equivalent to us mortals CC''s now there's a cuckoo joining in the dawn chorus where's my ear plugs.

Good morning to my fellow insomniac's from Hertfordshire.

  • Hi, made some pretty rash decisions on occasions too by offering to entertain folk after a hectic time.

Now I resort to taking overnight guests out for breakfast/ brunch at out local cafe or garden centre. I have even bought supermarket "meal deals" in bulk to spare me from food prep. Once out of packets and "prettied" up on plates looks good. After a wedding the day before I'm sure your guests will be wanting to get home in reasonable time as suggested.

Would your parents  in law object too much to a change of plan by coming on the day, especially if it will help their son.

Good luck with it all. Have a wonderful day... When it comes.

I used to walk around like everything was fine, but deep down, inside my shoe, my sock was sliding off.

Now I walk around and everything is  fine.....one day I am going to by new socks with strong elastic......but in the meantime I am learning to stop and and pull my sock up!

  • THATS ALL I ASK FOR, obviously I am hoping for more! But honestly 5 minutes would be better than nothing!

Not sure how I'm going to get through work today :-( i'm exhausted!

well i shall try and get my extra 5 mins. Xxx

I did go back to sleep, thanks for the suggestions!

Unfortunately father in law has alzheimers and she is a panicker so it's not worth the stress of getting them on the day.

I have asked a local caterer to quote but it has gone from 25 to 50!

  • PAIN, HOT FLUSHES, SWEATING AND ACHING JOINTS!

But I survived the day.......Just!! Arrived home to a beautiful bunch of flowers, thank you Lisa and an envelope full of little goodies from Janette, thanks ladies, you made my day!! Xxx

Wishing everyone sweet dreams and a restful, peaceful and sweat free night! Xxxx

  • Hope you get some sleep

I had a weird experience last night. Bed at 10, to sleep by 11, woke at 12, back to sleep around 12.30 ish. Then I woke up again and it was daylight, about 7.30. I was quite disoriented lol. So that means I got about 7 straight hours. That hasn't happened to me for many years. Feels great.

Sorry to boast, but I had to share as it is so unusual.

    Lynn xx
