  • Thank you. I'll talk to you later xx

  • Full of Hot Flushes, aching joints, pain and feeling sick! On top of that feeling drowsy. It's just been rubbish!

I'm fed up of the lack of energy and the being constantly dripping with sweat! My self confidence is slowly disappearing. I don't feel I want to go out anymore :-( because as soon as I go out I'm dripping with sweat, with my hair stuck to my face, sweat dripping down my neck and chest and the worse thing is, I sweat in my groin area and my underwear/trousers get damp/wet then if I sit down, I sometime leave a wet patch when I get up! SO EMBARRASING!! I try so hard to keep smiling to make jokes about this to pretend it's no big deal.......but.......it is a big deal and right now I just want to cry! I don't know if things will ever get better and that really scares me :-(

Apologies for my moaning, but this bank hol weekend I have realised how unhappy I am at the moment and how I need to sort these issues out, before they drive me completely nuts xxx

  • Don't panic! I'm sure summer must be nearly over! Hopefully, cooler less humid weather will improve your situation a little. Hope you can keep cool(ish) and have a better nights sleep.

Will be thinking of you at 2am! X

Sometimes I even resort to a COLD "hot water bottle". After the initial shock it can be very soothing!

I used to walk around like everything was fine, but deep down, inside my shoe, my sock was sliding off.

Now I walk around and everything is  fine.....one day I am going to by new socks with strong elastic......but in the meantime I am learning to stop and and pull my sock up!

  • Thank you, googlemuma I appreciate the supportive words. Sadly Summer is only just beginning and I know (from experience) that the next few weeks/months are going to be a bl**dy nightmare, especially while chasing around after a 1 year old!

I thought it was just a flare up following my Zoladex injection so was thinking after a couple of days things would settle again :( But NO! My next injection is this Thursday! So clearly these sweats, flushes and pain are here to stay!! Frustrating and annoying! Xxx

  • NIGHT NIGHT EVERYONE. Fingers crossed tonight is the night we ALL sleep through! ((((((((((((BIG HUGS))))))))))) xxx

P.S Lynn, Good Morning, I hope you slept well xxx

  • Nope! As soon as I turn out the light I start dripping. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

    Karen

  • Hugs, hugs, hugs.

I promise you the sweats will eventually settle. Seems to me that you've got the double whammy as you weren't menopausal before ie you oestrogen levels were higher than say mine when starting the chemical journey. Means you've got further to go.

As for groin sweats, I'll PM you. Sent a friend request. xxx

Horrid isn't it :( I hope things calmed down and you managed to get a few hours sleep. ((((((((((((Cooling hug))))))))))) xxx

  • Another disturbed night! I suppose I should be getting used to it, but I just live in hope that one night I will sleep through!!

Lynn I am hoping you are right about the flushes/night sweats. I think I am more concerned because I had the same issues on Tamoxifen and for the whole 20months I was told things would improve that things would get easier and settle down! But they didn't......until I stopped the drug. Then for a whole 2 months I became 'me' again! No aches, no pain, no sweating and able to sleep :-) Then I had surgery and started Zoladex :-( Then the whole cycle started again. Except this time I felt okay ish to begin with but in the last couple of months things have got worse! I don't understand why, because my cancer is stable. So it can only be down to my body not liking the Zoladex or the lack of eostrogen :-( Next injection is on Thursday :-( dreading it already!

Anyway I'll stop moaning. Lynn I hope you have a lovely day and thanks for the hugs! Much appreciated and very much Needed right now ;-) sending one right back to you ((((((((((((friendly Thankyou for the support hug))))))))))))))))))))) xxxxxxx

    I am awake too!

My daughter gets married in less than two weeks, I've been trying to arrange the transport and it's a nightmare. My in laws are having to be collected and returned from Hampshire, we're in Bedfordshire, my dad could bring them but he's not coming until the day and they are supposed to be coming the night before! Grrrr! Which means my husband has to drive down and get them, stay over and drive back. Time we don't have!

And stupidly, I've said that I would entertain people here on the Sunday before they head home!

    I'm insane!

    Must try to sleep.
