Mum and I will be heading to the hospital at 11ish! With LP in my pocket for company! I swear I am feeling more nervous and sick this morning, than when I have been going to my own appointments!! It’s awful! But knowing I have you all behind me is a great help, so Thank you! I will let you know what’s happening as soon as I am able!
Really hope to be sharing good news, later tonight! Xxxxx
Good luck Sal and Sal's Mum hope all goes well xxx
Good Day to all you lovely Fruit Loops.
I want to wish you and your dear mum well with the appointment. I'm praying for good news for your mum. Please keep us updated. Remember plenty of fun and laughter - it always helps.
I'll be back a little later to finish post, there's someone knocking on the door and dog is going mad - catch you soon.
sending loads of love xxxx
I’m back home.. again not as bad as expected .. just waiting for what ever side effects I will be getting .
I’m getting a picc line before next session as my veins aren’t very good apparently !
YAy, you're through the first lot of chemo! Fingers crossed that side effects will be mild or even better, non-existent! Was it the docetaxol you had today? If so, it would be worth getting some varying strengths of pain killers in as joint pains, if you get them, can be quite severe - it's known as the T truck and can hit you like one!
Picc lines are good - makes vein access a lot easier, and in most cases, give little trouble.
Hopefully you can nie relax a little now you've faced the unknown and come through the other side!
Yes it was docetaxel.
Really fancying a chippy tea which is odd I’ve ive not been eating that much !!
That's probably the steroids:)

Evening Fruit Loops, just spoken to Sal, (LondonLass), and she asked me to update you all, after an absolutely horrendous day over 6 hrs later, the news they were waiting for that her mum is clear, they are both so shattered, and are going to finally get something to eat and a lovely relaxing evening before they travel home tomorrow.
I am sure when Sal finally gets over their awful day she will be on to tell you all the details.
