  • good luck with the drain.  I'm sorry to hear of Horatio's demise,  but as you say,  no point having him if he's not being is.  I can't wait to get my PICC line out,  but know it's a different story.

I have to laugh at the comment about A&E's. Maybe they're all been sent a 'have you seen this woman' poster,  with you at ther A&E reception window of one of them!

Night all,  I fell asleep at the computer around 12 midnight,  and just awake now. I'm having my first paclitaxel this morning and more than a little worried....

    Xxx

  • Morning all, just wanted to pop on and send LP on his way with , he’s very excited about going with you this morning. However please be super careful, he’s been reading the book flat Stanley and asked me last night if he could be made flat by the mammogram machines!!!! You know what he’s like!!

Fingers crossed you get on okay and LP comes back in one piece. But ideally NOT flat packed Open mouth Although I suppose it would be easier for people to carry him around Thinking Only joking!!! Xxxxxxx

  • I hope you had a comfortable night and you aren’t feeling too rough today! Just do as little as possible. Although if you can get out for some fresh air, weather permitting, I think it does help!

    Take Care Hun xxxxxx

  • , wishing you all the best for today. Fingers crossed for minimal side effects. Try not to worry too much, I know that’s easier said than done. But instead of thinking about what the side effects might be, try thinking about getting through today and seeing what the drug brings! I had the drug from the same family but it started with D! I believe yours is the ‘kinder’ drug when it comes to side effects! Just remember each treatment is one step closer to the end of Chemo!

Will be thinking of you! Xxxxxx

Good luck everyone who has treatment and appointments today. Will be thinking of you!

Thank you for the "get better" wishes. I'm wonderinghow long I should give it before I call and beg for some stronger anti-sickness meds. I had odd dreams about being on boats all night and kept waking up feeling motion sick and, then... But I did get some sleep at least. My stomach is behaving like a washing machine and is making about as much noise too!

Hope everyone got some sleep xx

Ha ! It would surprise me if they did have a 'not wanted# poster of me at all hospitals! As long as it's not the one I took the other night to show my OH (he wasn't away with me)  - me with my nose stuffed full of inflated balloon - it was not my best look... #

Good luck with your first paclitaxel today - hopefully it'll be easy on you!

    - hope you're feeling better this morning.

    - good morning to you as I see you're up already! xx

    Morning All

Very early night for us. In the van in a car park in Stratford upon Avon. In an allocated space but surrounded by HGV s. Watching them park those huge vehicular was amazing. Backing in with a couple of feet clear on each side , and doing it first time. Made my parking in Jimmys car park last week look pathetic.

Going for a walk by the river, then off to NEC to spend the pension pot.inside most of the day and its going to be fine.it poured yesterday so didn't see much.

Personally think Evsham, Worcester and Tewksbury are much prettier towns.

Well time to get dressed. Have the best day you can everyone.

Morning Fruit Loops, hope you are feeling a bit better this morning , as said before if you haven’t been given emend ask for it it really helped me

    , great news.

, sorry you missed the ballet, hope all goes well with your drain, I am sure the grape vine will have reached most hospitals by now and alarms will ring when you get near !!!!!

, congrats on the clear mammo.

, hope all goes well with chemo.

Good luck to anyone else with treatment or appointments.

I have my 4 weekly oncologist appointment and injections today, and if bloods are ok will start my 3rd year of oral chemo. Hubby had his bone scan yesterday, and will see the consultant next week for his treatment plan. , did send LP with hubby yesterday, but I am not sure he enjoyed it as had no treats with him, but decided to find treats for himself around the waiting room and keeping everyone amused, think he would rather go with us fruit loops, we are more fun he said.

Hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing, love you all xx

  • I had it,  and looked it up on NICE, where I think they play about £48 for 3 capsule it's s a lot, but I'd you think that chemo £500+ a session,  not a lot more.
