that would explain a lot then, I've always got travelsick on cars and boats and buses! And it's the same like that, I feel sick, I'll be sick and then I'll actually get a patch where I feel quite OK. Hopefully it's just going to wear off sooner or later - and trying to avoid too much screens and reading meanwhile.

Hope everyone is doing ok this evening. xxx

  • ... great news .. good luck for mammo and BCC

Sea spirit , so pleased about that news .....x

  • Hi Jess,

ive heard that as well as ensuring you take the antinausea regularly, the sea sickness wristbands can help, plus ginger of course. Daughter swore by ginger if she had break through anytime, or towards the end of all her treatments, when it was just a mild sicky feeling.

    Hurrah for normal

Good luck with the mammo ( or mammoth as autocorrect just made it!) tomorrow and the BCC on Thursday!

Yes, I think my reputation will be going before me at A&E departments around the country! I have two trips to Leeds, one to Nottingham and hopefully the meet-up in Birmingham before Christmas, and probably another trip or two to Devon to see Mum, so I've got plenty of hospitals to choose from!!!

Tomorrow, I have my Hickman removed and the permanent chest drain put in, so that should be nice!!! I 'm a bit sad about Horatio2 (the Hickman) as he's part of me now and the removal signals the end of what is likely to be useful chemo! Still, no use hanging onto him as he's just another potential source of infection, especially as the chest drain will be another! You can never have too many holes...

    - here's wishing a swift end to the nausea and sickness - don't hesitate to contact your chemo unit and/or GP if you need something stronger - they're there to help!

Hope everyone else is as well as can be...

  • Yahhhhyyyyy - I am so pleased to read your post. Excellent news on the CT scan and the bloods yahhhhy well done xxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
