    Fantastic news grannylara

I posted a whinge earlier , got wound up about seeing onco  ! Tumour markers stable ( high ) , but liver tests a bit better . She really told me off about going on the organised walk last Sunday , she says I must stop ,sad about this as it is my weekly routine ! Anyway she looked at my damaged toe nail and agreed with me it might be infected, so high dose antibiotics for a week and no more chemo till she reviews me . I cheated and kept my hands out of view , in case she told me to stop knitting ( this is what the lymphodema nurse wants ) .....I had a panic attack on the way back to the car , which was stupid , but cured it with a chocolate biscuit . Bought some sandals to take pressure off toe nails at instruction from nurse .......never a problem for me to buy shoes !!!

hope you are all going to sleep all night ! Xx

  • , sorry about your toenails and the reflux. You have ro keep walking to stay fit and sane! Do you take one or two Omeprazole? It can be doubled up to twice daily, moor the asking your onco.I hope your LFTs and rumour markers are better. Please feel, free to rant, yiu are going through such cr*p. Xxxxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Just caught up , glad the bloods were stable. Very sorry she told yiu to stop your walks. Maybe yiu can restart when the infection has gone? And well done carrying on knitting. It is all very well to tell you to stop all your pleasurable activities but quality of life is so important. Compromise is possible in all things! Xxxxx

Oh dear   it’s horrible when you are told you can’t do something that you love doing, maybe if when they are healed you could walk in your sandals where there would be no pressure on you toes, I can’t see you stopping doing something you love, we all need some exercise.

    Hi Cathy

    How are you ?

The Oncologist has put me on daily blood thinner tablets 2x Apixaban instead of daily stomach injections Blush. I hope this means that I can do some yoga classes etc now.

However, he said that the results of the DEXA scan which I had February 15th had not been received!?!.

So, I will email the clinic I attended to ask them to resend it to  the Oncologist and cc in his secretary. I have Osteoarthritis in my lower spine and want to know what is happening.
