Hows everyone's day been?
Mine was pretty good on the whole. Saw the Oncologist who gave me a check over and said all looked fine! He did however say that my chest was a bit wheezy so to keep an eye and see GP if things get worse!
Then he asked if I was going straight on to my X-Ray of my Knee, I said no not till 7pm" he suggested I go to the department and tell them he sent me and could they do it now! He said they are unlikely to send me away......he was right! So now instead of getting ready to go back into the cold to go back to the hospital, I am I'm my PJ's in front of the fire!!
Popped into the Calendar shop on my way home and picked up a bag full of Sale bargains.......don't worry none of them were calendars!!
Off to have a proper chat with my BCN tomorrow. One down side to see the Onco was he seemed shocked when I mentioned stopping work! He immediately suggested reducing my hours! So of course I then started thinking I was being stupid and pathetic giving up and I should rethink!
This decision really isn't easy! Or I am too scared to do what is right for me! One or the other.
Anyway I hope all is well with you all. seaspirit44, I haven't forgotten your appointment tomorrow, LP will be washed and dressed and on his way to you, first thing tomorrow!! Xxxxx
Hello hello - difficult to know what to do about work... I’d go with your gut instinct. If you do go for it then make sure you have plenty to fill your time as naval gazing is terrible for mental well-being. Whatever you decide will be right for you, and unless your oncologist knows you and what makes you tick then take it as some friendly encouragement but actually only listen to the people that know you best... good luck!
Okay, so its now 10:16 pm - and I am going to say Nighty Night - I'm not going to bed yet as I have a few things to do, however, 'if' I come back on here, I know I'll be on till all hours of the early morning.
So dear Fruit Loops - I wish you all well and send you lots of love and hugs.
Nighty Night xxxx

Got my redundancy letter from work today so now it's actually official it's feeling more real. Still in two minds (or rather about a million!) what to do for the best but I guess only time will tell. One thing I have decided on is to attempt to get my set of novels published so fingers crossed that they are good enough.
Good night to those off to Dreamworld x

Hmmmm...just thinking the very same...novels,(dot....dot...dot....???)
Hey LondonLass, so,glad you had a good day for once! How kind of your onco to fix your X ray at the same time! Don't let what he said about work worry you, take your time, enjoy, your sick leave and make the decision when you are ready xx
I am a little apprehensive about tomorrow in case tha consultant says I have an osteoporotic fracture in my foot. I do not relish the prospect of being considerably limited in my mobility for however long it takes. New podiatrist on Fri, if it isn't a fracture I hope, she can sort me out. LP will enjoy Friday as the place is near Manchester City football club, a new experience for him. Hope he does not get carried away. xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
