Well that's my scan done! The usual emotions that come with going back to the hospital, sitting in a hospital gown. Watching other people going in and out and just wishing you were anywhere but there!
The Radiographers and nurses were absolutely lovely! I think this was the reaction from one of them after spending 15mins trying to get the Canula in..............
Bless her heart, she tapped my arm, rubbed my arm, talked nicely to my arm but my veins went into hiding! The last resort was to use the vein in wrist, i've had it once before and it hurts......OUCH!!! But she was as gentle as she could be and the scan was quick, in comparison to a PET-CT really quick!
So 3 weeks wait now until my appointment with Oncologist, so I am going to do my best not to think about it. What will be will be!
Karen, I hope you got on okay! Do you get your results right away or wait for the post/phone! Sending you a Special ((((((((((((((supportive hug))))))))))))) for a very Special lady xxxx
Love that pic, gonna stick it on my wall. Â Veins never come out to play when you want them to! Â All the best with the scans and sending you a virtual hug xx
Thanks Sal. I've replied on your other thread - now who's the loopy one?
I have an onco apt next week, so not bothered. Going to chase up MUGA results today while I'm there - BCN said they can't look them up. Waste of space then.
Thanks for the hug, need a few today.
And Mum and Dad arrive at 5.30am tomorrow so I need to be on the road to the airport about 4.30. Eek!!
xx
Karen
Well Karen happy to offer as many........
HUGS, as you need!
Just think tomorrow your Mum and Dad will be there to offer you a Real One! Do you have any nice plans, for while they are here?
Hope the Mammo went okay xxxxxxxx
Mammo was fine, results whenever. MUGA results not back yet. They will ring me. Still had hot coffee in the cup when I left the hospital!!
House is vaguely clean and tidy, spare room habitable. Garbage out, dishwasher running. I'm knackered!!
Off tomorrow, working next week. Then off for 2 weeks.
We haven't planned a lot, but Dad has arranged meet ups with some of his camera club buddies. So will probably be pounding the pavement in London on Saturday. Fitbit will be happy!
Wonder if I can still lift Mum off the ground :)
They are somewhere over central Africa now, following the plane on plane finder.
My contribution to the 1500 party!! Oh, and we've passed 100 pages too!!
Karen
Well Karen I hope you have an early night so you can have a few hours sleep! I was just looking through photos and found your family pic...........
I see even then you could be a little 'madam' :-)
Have a FANBLOODYTASTIC time Hun! You deserve it!
Sal xxx
You got that right - I can be a proper stroppy cow!!
Karen
Seriously you can find a pic for anything these days........
Although I don't believe it for a second! You're too nice to be stroppy........I blame the hormones :-) or Chemo or anything else you can think of! Xxx
