    - lovely to see you back! Sorry you've been having some dark times, but you know we're all here to support you when you need us! xx

    - yes, chemo at high noon!!! I've bought LP some fresh carrots so hopefully he'll behave! I'll send him back afterwards - maybe he can have a bit of time off with you to relax - he seems to be quite busy at the moment! Hope you have a good day - holidays are nearly here!

Oh, and that piccy looks like me going up the stairs too...

    Happy Wednesday to everyone!

Hi everyone , downstairs aching , I have started getting cramp at night which leaves me with sore muscles afterwards ....one more thing !

mazza.....pleased you are coping , optomistic , hope your worry does not last long ( though it will seem ages )

violetsniff ,thank you for asking if my friend is depressed , but the reason she wasn’t as

nswering the phone is because she is moving and she was up a ladder wallpapering .....bearing in mind she is over 80 and registered blind she gives me inspiration. Last Xmas she was transferred to the hospice after a viral infection stopped her chemo.....she has secondaries in 7 places ......she wanted to go home to die ,so a friend and I got a taxi and wheelchair and managed it ......she started improving , decided to move , insisted on more chemo .....and woooweeee, she moves today . I am going round tomorrow to sort furniture !   Our mutual friends think there is not much wrong with me !!

i saw the onco yesterday and I asked him very politely why , when my blood tests suddenly deteriorated in March ,I wasn’t contacted, and nothing was done till they were so bad in June that I was theoretically very very ill ( his words ) and near liver failure . I had already been told that letrazole might not work for more than 2 years and that I had an aggressive cancer . The reason I was on a trial ( and taking the placebo arm , we now think ) is so I would get some follow up and blood tests ......well , I got those tests and it didn’t help ! He didn’t apologise in any way , but he said it was a “ good point “ and that in retrospect it might have helped to act sooner , but we are where we are so let’s go forward from here. The thing that encourages me most is that I am on the same chemo as my friend mentioned above !!!      Managed to get an afternoon appointment this afternoon for chemo so I can go on the organised walk ( and coffee , and chat ) this morning ........

this has become a bit of a saga ....sorry ! Hope you all have a good day , no new shocks , best wishes to weeblemum too ........xx

  • Hi all the lovely ladies who frequent this thread.

Ad hoc I get messages from mrsox.

She sends me updates when she feels she is in a good place and she is

Ok she's had a double mx now. Yes she is having her planning session for returning to work but......

She is getting engaged to Lummox. No diamond for this lady she's looking at all sorts of unusual stones. Can feel you all nodding sagely.

She sends her love and best wishes to you all. And said it was OK to share as she thinks good news can sometimes be thin on the ground

NOW ....... this was all written in up north speak. So, I hope I have got it all correct

Gentle hugs to you all from her (and me of course)
