Thinking of you and fantastic LondonLass that you got some sleep
It's been a long tough day! Pain has been bad and is getting me down! Just as I thought my pain was under control and I had got used to being pretty much pain free! I feel I'm practically back where I started!
Does anyone know if you can get Lymphoedema in the top part of the breast, area just down from the collarbone? As I seem to be getting a lot of pain, swelling and a heavy feeling in that area! I see my Lymphoedema Nurse in a few weeks so will ask. But just wandered if anyone knew or had experience of this!
, any news on your escape from Hotel NHS? Hope you are at least feeling a bit better!
Eddiboy, hoping your surgery went well and that you are back to say Hi soon. Thinking of you and hoping LP is behaving!
, any news on whether you can have your next Chemo!
Hoping everyone else had a good day! Sending (((((((Hugs))))))) to all xxxx
I think (?) you can get lymphoedema there …..as I recall you have issues in your arm , does it feel similar ? I don`t think it is supposed to hurt though ??? I have breast lymphoedema , but it is not high up . As usual , I suppose it is another worry that needs checking . Sorry to hear that you are having pain issues again too . I am having 10 days off chemo to allow my liver " to recover " ….then seeing the onco again ! I have found out that the blood test I had as part of the trial in March showed high liver enzymes , but it wasn`t acted on , and I was told " bloods are ok " …..when the tests were routinely checked in June the liver disfunction was severe , that is when they jumped to attention and did a CT and then biopsy within a week and started chemo 3 days later.....Although they terrified me , I now think they frightened themselves !!! My daughter is here from New Zealand and today we did Christmas shopping to save me postage !! She brought an empty suitcase with her …..!!! Weeblemum …..hope you got home to some decent food ! Best wishes to all of you and hope we sleep ….x
Hi LondonLass from my understanding you could get lynodema ( oh I really cannot spell tonight) but it is possible to get it anyway. Have you seen someone about it? Maybe worth a chat to your specialist nurse and your GP whichever you can see first. Important to rule everything out as i am sure this must be causing you alot of worry. I am sorry I dont have any experience there, but i do have problems now and then with my leg swelling and funny feeling in my left arm, all sorts of things to add to my list for my oncologist next Wednesday.
Thanks so much everyone for your positive good wishes. THEY WORKED. And LondonLass LP did a splendid job. Took him down in my dressing gown pocket which meant he stayed in the room they do the anaesthesia and so didn't see all the traumatic stuff.
He worked his magic and I am now at home in bed with no drains despite having a mx and implant reconstruction. No pain at the moment and all looking very good - clearly the wait was the right thing!
Sending him back as I type - in a limo as he's been such a good boy - for an urgent visit to you (for your pain and hopefully NOT lymphodema) and to help her check out of chateau NHS as soon as possible
Hugs and love to everyone xxxx
Oh thats great news Eddiboy
i am glad that L.P wast traumatised by it all and kept nie and snug in your gown. He should be home safe and sound now, his a lucky guinea pig
WELL DONE Eddiboy
Great News! Now try and get a good nights sleep and look after yourself. Plenty of TLC and rest over the next few days! (((((((((((GENTLE HUGS)))))))))))
GBear and , Thanks for your replies! In all honesty I'm not worried! Think I have had so many issues with this breast and surrounding areas that I am past worrying! I'm sure the CT will of picked up anything abnormal and hopefully the Lymphoedema Nurse can shed some light! I only asked really because it's odd how my arm is actually really good now, I only wear a sleeve at work now! My breast has good days and bad but then my bra probably doesn't help, however a sports bra isn't an option with the sternum pain! However this area is tricky to work out how to massage, so maybe that's what I need to ask or perhaps I should try the kinesio taping again, although not sure it helped much and my skin reacted to the tape on hot days! Nothing's easy is it!
Anyway I shall say GoodNight, wishing you all Sweet Dreams! toxophilite, Karen I hope you managed to sleep without the use of a hammer! I'm hoping for another good night, although currently WIDE AWAKE!!!! Watch this space! Xxxxxx
