  • sorry to hear about your heart issues.

Can't flick back a page to tag bit congratulations on arrival of new granddaughter.  I like the name Olive.  Will she be known by that or Oli/Livy?    When I named my daughter in 95, health visitor comment was "that's an odd name" - Caitlin.  When she started school on same nursery class as boy who was born sane day, same hospital and he had a sister with same name.  Few years later became more popular but still not overly common locally.  Even the Simpsons have a sketch in Caitlin with a K, or a Y.

Very windy here last night.  I'm near sea front so wind howling.  Lots of trees down in country park behind my house and order local parks and streets.  My garden quite large & exposed so we quite used to securing garden furniture etc.  Calm now.

  • Off how names are popular then vanish. My daughter is an Emily, never heard of it before I had her. There were 6 baby Emilys in the hospital.

Thank you all for your kind wishes

  • Congratulations on the birth of Olive she sounds a grand lass at that weight !

The wind was terrible last night at my house howling and blowing things around, and I had no chance this morning to sort anything. In the dark and cold before work so will all have to stay there till tomorrow.

Ha ha ha the awful mean neighbours of gate in fence fame, well their recycling bin was blown all over the garden, bottles of booze and cans, the shame of their alcohol intake exposed. She said I looked down on her...So actually yes I did this morning ha ha ha

Looks like Boris might curtail Christmas Christmas tree well it won't matter to me as I will be at work for 12 hours...let him curtail that.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend as possible. Where is  ? Getting better i hope.

I have also bought loads of stuff and wrapped as well xxx

  • No  we had looked at forecast and know the risks with this route so we are at home in the high winds and snow here now ( not as deep ) . I have apps on phone that include traffic cameras on route so I can check . Also Cumbria road watch is a brilliant site I now have a full list of roads closed in Cumbria . The A66 is the only route for us so we well practice at the dodge the snow game .

Touch wood we have never been trapped on top although have had to stay at van longer than expected but in winter we always have enough supplies in .
we might go over on Mon/ Tues but have received photos from site owner showing no problems if you can get overtop

  • Stop repeating yourself  JoyRofl

Yourer right a lot of problems are caused by lorries jackknifing or being blown over .

On the A 66 they put messages on the boards saying high winds do not cross with high sided but they ignore them racing to get thru the snow gates before they are closed ..stupidity ! Lots of service people put at risk last night digging people out.
Your painting is a lovely thoughtful gift moomy .
Is your daughters doing the New year gig again this year .?
