Thats really interesting, I’ll have a look on HR intraweb. I doubt I’ll be offered it as I think others are applying for the new roles and there will be enough to be slotted in. 30 weeks pay won’t be a huge amount either and as I’ve been on term time contracts for a lot of the time, my pension won’t be worth much either.
I’ve got presents organised!!!! I’m astonished to be honest. Some have been delivered, some coming very soon, (tomorrow probably!) and I’ve begun the cards as there are a few who won’t know about hubs. So they will get posted early. Which gives me a joke that hubs always giggled at……(and told every year at some stage or other)
’can I give you a top tip?’
a, ‘shop early for Christmas!’

Dear Angua1
I used to wonder whether certain occupations did have anything to do with getting cancer.I would be interested to do a little study. My GP said she knew of a few Doctor friends with it too.

Hi I have been a Nurse for 22 years and a Specialist nurse for 8 of those. I did crazy shifts in hospital years ago, and now work 30 hours a week. I'm 55 but hope to retire a bit early, we'll see ! I work in Occupational health now and advise lots of ladies who had breast cancer and help them return to work, it can be upsetting but also lovely xxx
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe

Just wanted to say Goodnight. But thought I would end on a festive ‘giggle’!

Oh how true that is!!
But these two made me laugh…..I am easily pleased!

Well it was worth a try I suppose! One of mine could do with pumping up a bit But I wouldn’t put Santa through the trauma
The last one…..

Something children of today might say
Hope those brought a smile to the face of anyone that needed it. Sweet Dreams Everyone. Night night. Sal xxxxx
Good morning LondonLass
Your post cheered me up xx
i was actually coming on to say I was leaving this forum as unfortunately I have had to join another support group BHF !
I have had 2 heart attacks this year which were a big shock ! Nothing to do with cancer treatment . Just confirms that my oncologist was correct in limiting my Herceptin due to heart murmur. I’m doing ok but curtailed in my activities for now . No driving and no aqua aerobics . .been a bit of a puzzle as first heart attack was put down to me having sepsis in my gallbladder - never felt any gallbladder pain untill examined . But due to all the warnings while having chemo , I knew something was mega wrong as I had a temp of over 39 . I expected all to be well but wham heart attack no. 2 ! Fortunately no damage done to my heart and I now know the cause - tiny arteries going into spasms . Got meds and specialist cardiologist nurse and physio . Being well looked after by nhs and hubby and son .
I still visit the awake thread to see how you are all getting on .
emotional time as nearly 4 years since breast cancer diagnosis when my life changed for ever . But then Covid came and changed all our lives for ever , so I better not moan .
I am going to start a Christmas jigsaw today , as you know jigsaws kept me sane during my treatment - wee bit of escapism and kept the brain fog at bay . Then I’ve a small jumper to knit for a Christmas present - again something I restarted during my recovery and covid .
take care dear Sal and all Fruit Loops
Love from
Ruby Rose
