  • I shall have to look out for a recording of that show. I watched that drama series about the autistic boy who used to put headphones on and listen to music to drown out the world when it became too busy for him. I suggested this to my daughter but she worries he would become too dependent upon the escapism and that he wouldn't be allowed headphones on in school anyway. She also said she thinks that as the world is full of noise he finds hard to cope with, maybe he just needs to learn how to manage that himself. It is very difficult but his Dad just doesn't understand. My grandson is a gentle soul with others but his Dad does playfighting with him. He doesn't like it but is becoming conditioned to it so when he gets home he is all fired up but noone wants to play fight with him. He gets confusing messages from his Dad which really upset me.

  • Whathappened, budgies are great as they are bright cheerful colours, they natter and don't need too much care like a dog would. So they might be really good co.pany for your mum.

If she isn't scared of little mice type creatures, I have found my degus to be great company. They chat to each other in sweet soft sounds (unless scared when they can be noisier) and they should be in at least pairs as they are pack animals. But they do need regular cleaning of the cage and until they know you they can bite. I got mine nearly 7 years ago and for the first few weeks, one of them bit me three or four times just through fear of a new home. They soon settled and one used to curl up in my hand for cuddles.

Tropical fish are also very relaxing to watch but again need regular cleaning of the tank.

  •    sending lots of love and best wishes for favourable test results Heart

I am with your daughter on this one. The little lad has to cope with the world as it exists. Even an over exuberant daft Dad. Try not to worry, a boy who has people who love him as you and his Mum and Dad do, is going to be fine xxx Your degus sound lovely if a little bitey xxxx

yes get Mom a budgie. Its not hard to care for and will bring back memories xxx

  • That’s very difficult @Mag123

    I agree with @SnowysMum though.

    Sorry can’t tag.

I went through my photos yesterday as had to delete a lot as can’t download an IOS thingy….must have got rid of hundreds…but still not letting me.Our phone shop has closed down so I can’t go in and ask the young men who were always so helpful…but hey Ho…the way of the world really.

Anyway it means I found some nice photos taken years ago…have made some cards and selling for the Turkey and Syria fund.

some people are so generous and just donated.

    here goes…

  • Violetsniff you are always thinking of others! I hope the beautiful cards sell well.

I pay £1.95 per month to store all my photos on the cloud. Worth thinking about?

  • Goodnight everyone!

  • I am not surprised you are having an early night Brian69 after the busy and stressful sounding day you have had. Sleep well.
