Hi Everyone,

new to the site, basic computer user, diagnosed & treated for lung cancer 2018/19, diagnosed & treated for Brain Matasees in April 2020, treated with Gamma fractions, still here!

Have 4 children & 8 grand children, came as a real shock, out of the blue, just a little light cough started my journey.

Everyone i have come into contact with during my treatment has been fantastic, my family are as supportive as  i allow them to be I guess.

Felt i needed to distance myself to somehow make it easier for them, especially the grand children, so many feelings thoughts.

  • Hi

I'm not a member of this group but noticed that you hadn't had any replies to your post yet. As this is a fairly quiet group I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join the lung cancer group where I'm sure you'll also meet people who have brain metastases.

If this is something that you'd like to do clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a moment it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
