I'm just wondering I need some positive reassurance as I'm really really struggling at the minuet about the qhole surgery

Hi GS1723.Yes, everything happened very quickly, but I feel good, the 5th week of radio at the moment and chemo is ahead again. Then I have an MRI. I pray and believe in recovery. I wish you healing and strength to go through this stage of life. Good luck and health.Thank you and big hug .
Hi brave lady … my story very similar to you symptoms for a week only … headache then fitted while on holiday in Germany helicopter ambulance then . Op over there and I’ve just done 2weeks of radio and chemo so far back in uk
still walking daily and trying to be as positive as possible!! It’s the best way to be I’m determined to beat this or at least keep it at bay !! New treatments being discovered all the time
can’t wait to finish the treatment though !! Could murder a glass of wine stay strong
Good evening Anniekh.be strong for this fight.I belive in my self ,I feel good ,next week my last (6)circle of radio ,then from 24th of July -C2 of Chemotherapy. Then 17 of August MRI ,and 4th of September C3 of chemotherapy again .So I have a big hope ,and will pray for all of us .I have only few side effects - loss of hair and appetite and weight, but this is after .radio. I also try to walk a lot and walk in the park, removed sugar, fried foods and carbohydrates from food.I wish you strong health and good luck with treatments.Wish you speed recovery .Take care !
Luckily I knew nothing about my surgery , I woke up after 2 days on ventilator to find that I’d had surgery to remove a tumour . They had to operate due to fitting and I wasn’t responding, reduced Gsgow coma scale . It didn’t take long to recover post op but difficult to process what had happened.. my poor husband had to tell me when I woke up.I was thankful to be in Germany as their medical ce amazing and they liaised with uk hospitals re on going treatment. You have to try and stay as healthy as you can as that helps recovery! People will want to help which is what I have found and I’m happy with that . I think people are amazed at how well I am and look , not sure what they were expecting
Hello GS1723.I was absolutely healthy until May 2, I worked every day. Therefore, I woke up only after my surgery , where 80% of the tumor was removed on the 3rd day and I was fine, but I didn’t remember anything about what happened and I walked, ate and joked in hospital. Nothing hurt, only a scar on my head. I am very grateful to the doctors and my family and friends my colleagues, who supported me after I found out the diagnosis on May 10.I wish you be strong and belive in your body and think only positive way .
Sorry for the delay in reply, cannot remember anything about the operation or chemo. All I remember was waking up one day in my front room on hospital bed. My x wife apparently and son got me home because the consultant gave three 3 months to live. Two years later getting a lot stronger, wife has left spouting some bullshit, I think I out lived the prediction. Looking back now I think she was seeing him before, flowers were delivered here and now the red face is explained. Looking after myself now , cooking etc and support from three lovely kids, and five brilliant grandchildren.
Looking to move and make a new start, plus build a new future. It will be tough especially after 38 years of marriage, can’t imagine what everyone has been through for years of hospital etc. But you would think 38 years would mean something, but I am sure she is missing the physical side of marriage etc.
Thank for your support
Graham
Hi, I had brain surgery three weeks ago, I wasn't awake because I had been having seizures so the risk was too high to keep me awake, luckily they didn't because I did have a seizure an hour into my op. Recovery after has been ok, I'm struggling a bit mentally but in general my health is good and I'm ready to start radiotherapy next week. I don't know if any of that is helpful or not.
