I am 51 years old and was seen over a year ago in the community for a hearing test after noticing I could not hear in my left ear. To my shock I came out with hearing aids and a referral to ENT due to huge differences in ears.
Had my appointment just after Christmas and consultant advised MRI.
During MRI they pulled me out and stated they needed to do contrast, I knew then something was up. Recalled within two days for results. Consultant doing a referral to be seen as soon as possible. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions despite reading up about acoustic neuroma.

I was told on 20/01/26 so still digesting. In a way I feel relieved as it explains quite a few symptoms. I would be grateful for any guidance or shared experiences.
