Astrocytoma Grade 2

Hi, just a bit of information on my husbands story. He turned 50 almost 5 years ago and a few weeks later after his 50th was diagnosed with a grade 2 astrocytoma (some elements had grade 3)

surgery, 6weeks radiation and 12 months chemo and he’s still here doing amazing. 
he’s always been a really fit guy so that massively helped his recovery and we are just living life as we always have.

he has MRI‘s every 3 months and at first I got really anxious everytime. Now it’s just part of his routine.

there is always a chance of it coming up as it is diffuse but anyone could get any cancer at anytime so we just have to get on with it.

In some ways the cancer made him a better person afterwards and he is more patient and understanding of people.

you would never know he’s had brain cancer if you didn’t know him and thankfully he made full recovery but he lives with it close to his heart knowing it could come back but also making plans well into when we eventually retire lol.

I’m so sorry you are going through this but stay positive, good things do happen.
