Hi everyone
I'm Steph from the Community team
Here is a new thread for carers, family and friends. This is a space for you to chat, share experiences and support each other through issues related to your loved ones bowel cancer. The previous thread will shortly be locked as it was getting rather long which can make it difficult to navigate.
Please remember that we also have other dedicated spaces on the Community for carers, family and friends. These spaces exist so you can support each other away from members of the forum who might be dealing with their own cancer diagnosis:
Supporting someone with incurable cancer forum
You would be welcome to set up another new thread like this in one of the above forums. Please just let us know if you would like any help?
We hope you will continue to find lots of support from each other and the Community. We're here to help, so please do let us know if you have any questions or support needs by emailing us at community@macmillan.org.uk
That’s completely understandable. This disease has robbed us all of so much. We were told today that my husband can no longer have treatment and they are just going to manage his symptoms going forward. This comes after he nearly bled to death when his tumour caused an artery it was wrapped around to rupture. It has been the most horrific 6 weeks and no one should have to go through this.
my heart and love is with all you ladies who are nursing their beloved husbands through this. I don’t know where we all find the strength xxx
I think you go in to your messages at top right xx
Hi Distraught . If you are in touch with her could you pass on my condolences.
It takes so , so much going through this .
How are you and your husband getting along ?
Take care ,

Hi Maggie!
Have you heard anymore from JKee. I messaged her on the group chat with my condolences but just got a loveheart emoji back. Poor lass her head will be everywhere just now. If she gets back to you can you tell her I'm thinking of her and just to try and look after herself. Take Care.

Vicky she is finding this harder than anything. She probably had not looked on the group chat. Gosh what you have all been through and us going through it is awful. I will send her a message xx
Hi Court!
How are you? Nice to see you here. Yes so sorry to hear about Jkee's Simon. Like Jay he fought it hard as I am sure all the other ladies partners/spouses here are still doing. Can't believe it's two years this month already since Jay passed. Where does the time go? Hope you are keeping well. Take Care.
