Hello everyone, is a score of 28 high ? I have had a little bit of a problem with finding Bright red blood in my stool just a little bit very sparse .
I did a fit test on a stool that I had straining with and it had a little blood on it would this effect the score ? . Does a fit test pick up visible blood has well has occult blood ?
I am having a colonoscopy next week .
I've just had my FIT test results back at 1407ug/g. I'm absolutely petrified. I was fine until Christmas Day, when I had really loose, watery stools, and then non stop (until today, 16 Feb), I've had a few days here and there with normal ish ones, but generally watery. No other symptoms, no blood, no nothing and feel normal. I've got a colonoscopy booked in for 4 March. Inflammation markers (CRP) levels were 147, then the week after 45, that was a few weeks ago now. I have the GP for more bloods tomorrow but otherwise my bloods were normal/good. I am seriously sore when I go to the loo, erm, how to put this....at the opening, and I think i may have a few haemorrhoids from being unwell. It stings a bit too when I go, so fissures etc. Any help or advice from anyone would be really good. Thank you, from a very scared 40 year old!
The fact that it only started less then 2 months ago is positive so try not to worry.
I am going through the same thing with a pending test waiting. I noticed mine changing back in the summer but had a fit test in Oct which was fine but had another in Jan and got a score of 20 which means a 2 week referral so very nervous myself.
Oh I wish you luck :) Let me know how it goes. It's so scary not knowing. I've got my normal GP tomorrow, so I'm going to ask her to take more bloods to see where my inflammation markers are, and hope for the best. The only thing that is saving me, is my back is sore, so having to take codeine every now and again and it stops my watery bum!
Thank you. My bloods were ok too but then you read stories of people bloods being fine and then they find something wrong.
Let me know how you get on with the bloods.
So I had my colonospy 10 days ago. They found quite a few polyps and took out 4 but have to go back again to have rest removed as quite a few. My notes say SSL ones and that they are small. They have not told me there is anything concerning and have taken me off the fast track pathway but from reading online, SSL ones can be bad and I already had a call about the next appt so it all seems quite quick.
Not sure if I should be concerned or not!
