    Hello Stomagirl,

Pleased to say that I am pain free but feel like a zombie! No energy whatsoever. I was so pleased not to be in pain I thought today I can do anything! So wrong... cannot do a thing, just want to sleep, no energy whatsoever. So disappointing, think probably because I have no appetite and unable to eat that all energy drained! Would love to go for a walk but need to sit, but I am hearing the wise words of your gorgeous grandson 'ah can dae this!' Well perhaps I'll have a lie down first!....

    Hello Stomagirl,

Apologies for delayed reply.I followed your advice and contacted oncology nurse, and so pleased that   I did as by next day I was having severe  bouts of diarrhoea. It was arranged for me to go to hospital  and I was admitted returning home after six days.It appears that my dosage of Cap. may be too high. I have been taken off all chemo medicines and given others to help my body recover.Luckily I already had an appointment an appointment with my oncolgy specialist for next week and my third round of chemo has been deferred for a week until after my review. They also arranged for me to see a dietian who visited me in hospital and gave me much valuable advice.I cannot thank and praise all the oncology nursing  team enough for caring for me so well during my hospital stay.I have now have  ten days to recover and build myself up.

Still carrying your grandsons words ,'Ah can dae this!' and yours ,' Fighting pants on!'

    How are you?

Hope you are feeling better Catsski! that sounds like quite a rough time and it is good to hear you have a good team around you. I was given loperamdie for diarrhoea and they now issue a box to me each time they issue my Cap. I have tons in the cupboard as only used once.

Hope you have a good week. All the best

Ohh my !! Catsski ! We are literally on same path lol , due to abscess my chemo is stopped until I hear from oncology!! I had abscess beside my rib drained on thurs on antibiotics, I got home that night, but absolutely drained with it , soo tired and side effects of antibiotics, made me call cancer helpline on Saturday morning as diarrhoea wasn’t funny ! But they told me to take loperamide and it did settle!
so glad you called oncology as these things with cancer chemo can go wrong quickly!! I was told I’m days away from sepsis if the abscess wasn’t drained, they got 50 mls out , and no guarantees it won’t happen again!
so taking things very easy , hope you are too, we can dae this !!

I was feeling sorry for myself, but hearing from you puts me to shame ! How lucky to have that absess drained... I lived on loperamide, last week, now on Buscopan and Omerazole, plus steroids and just so much more ,feel I could open up my own pharmacy! Like you, no choice but to take things easy...

We can and we wll  dae this!

    Hello Rose2020,

Waiting to hear how you are.. I see Stomagirl has enquired. Do you think we ought to buy shares in Loperamide? Sounds as if we would all make a fortune!

Hope all is going well for you.

Hi Stomagirl I am doing good thanks! Waiting for confirmation date for a PET scan for liver as MRI did not reveal any / enough info apparently...  But the fact that the MRI did not ring any alarm bells with my team, seems like it just may be ok so I am not going to waste my time stressing and thinking the worst as I have spent enough time doing that! I have also got over the scare of being' scanned' and just relax with music on their headphones they offer .. My first scan I found quite traumatic.

    Bye for now, take care.
