And here we are in 2023.
Let’s see what we can achieve despite all that’s going on .

My son is reading a book about making one small change at a time so we left granny sleeping and headed out for a nice mother and son walk . He does not do that too often !
Steak pie for us later once the fresh orange juice and French toast goes down .
Take special care ,

The fungus was growing on a log from a tree that was blown over in the autumn gales. The wood is mostly beech, but this could be oak. There’s a wide variety of fungi to be found there, perhaps because logs are allowed to rot and untidiness is tolerated. We use an app called Seek to identify living things - it copes with a huge range of “kingdoms”.
It’s amazing I’ve never seen anything like it. Looks like pink frogs spawn. My hubby noticed it on my phone and was drawn to it.
Amazing what you can see when you really look. I wonder how many haven’t notice that in passing. I think I need to follow your example in the new year. Get out and about

We picked some raised trugs up from ebay market place. They are very expensive in the garden centres but if you know someone who can make them then they're perfect. We just did a bit of maintenance on ours & they look like new.
Our raised beds are made from pallet collars, again you can pick theses up from free to cheap. We put 2 together & fitted what looks like a picture frame on top so you can sit on them
I bet there are lots of keen gardeners/growers/creative/artistic people on this group - would it be appropriate to suggest a separate thread to share idea's of creativity? Can dip in should you feel you want to share or be inspired in some way?
Best wishes, Bev
Following on from our conversation yesterday , I pass through Dundee all the time but never stop as we are always heading to the caravan .
I must make an effort this year as I would like to visit the V and A . The weather is mild here . Hope you are getting some of that .
Mum has lost a lot of height with her OA in the spine but focusing on what she can change , she is doing some rehab on her legs and arms . Practicing standing from sitting and increasing each day and going to do some light weights for her arms .
Hope your hip settles for today Faloola .
Have a good day everyone. Lots of clinic appointments this week for mum but we are getting there .

Court you’ve made me smile. Thank you. I need to follow your Mums example and get off the sofa and stop wallowing with self pity.
I have a serious case of self pity.
I will start tomorrow…….after breakfast club
Yes every Thursday we have breakfast out and it’s not healthy. I can only have poached eggs now I’m in training for the full breakfast one day …
Have a good day
Ann
But protein is good for you . You enjoy your breakfast Artsie
Now the ice has gone we are heading out with the rollator to increase her steps .
When it all seems overwhelming we start small and keep building on that .
You would never think I was an ex OT ! The poor woman does not get a break .
She has to get bloods done today . Always a difficulty due to all the previous chemo . However my sister bought a hot water bottle and the cover has a hand warming section . Think we shall travel with it and open up those veins .

I know where that fighting spirit comes from. OT is a great profession for your Mum to gain her strength she has her own personal trainer
Plus you people up northern are tougher than us southerners.
When I go to Ireland they say “Oh it’s Freezing.”
Ha ha they’ve obviously never been to Scotland
Its a beautiful country
You can get little sachets that slip into your gloves they’re amazing. I had them from the school children one Christmas as they all said about my purple hands. Little bags of warmth.
Good luck at the blood test. It can be testing when the veins are hiding. My hubby has that too there’s only a few people that can get his.
Im lucky as mine are visible so that’s a positive if I need chemo!

Hi Court had a fab day yesterday thank you for asking. We hit the shops my purse got a fright lol. We got breakfast on arrival which is unusual and into our room I thought fab.
My hip was a little devil yesterday I was walking like a snail but still walking lol so can’t complain.
Will be doing it all over again today. Your mums a wee hero tell her I’m asking for her. I do think you get shorter as you get older. My dresses seem longer on me now lol.
Hope you’re doing ok Court and taking some time out for yourself.
the weather is calm and you must stop in Dundee next time your passing through. ️.
