Hello everyone, I'm new to this group just today. I'm worried sick about going for my results tomorrow after 8 weeks. I don't know if I'm allowed anyone in with me due to covid, and I don't know what I should ask the doctors. Could someone please help me out?
Hi Crankshaft, my results were not good. I have been diagnosed with bowel cancer. I have to have my whole bowel removed and a stoma bag fitted. I am trying to get my head round it at the minute.
Maza
What a blow.
You did sound as if you thought this may be the same as your brothers It’s still a lot to process
I hope that you have some time to talk to your family.
Don’t worry about a stoma now. Just think of getting that Cancer out.
Take care
sending you a hug

As others have said, just concentrate on getting rid of the cancer.stoma bags arnt that bad and really nothing to be worried about.the nurses in hospital will show you how to change and empty it and it soon becomes second nature it really is easy
Do click on names if you want to see how people get on.
All the best
Kath
Hi Maza, So sorry to hear of the diagnosis and how long it has taken for them to tell you. Now you know what has to happen you can plan better. Hopefully your brothers can help from their experiences. It is all doable as they say, just take one step at a time.
Wishing you a successful outcome, John
Thanks John for you support. I can't stop thinking about it atm. I am scared but trying to keep positive.
