Hello everyone, I'm new to this group just today. I'm worried sick about going for my results tomorrow after 8 weeks. I don't know if I'm allowed anyone in with me due to covid, and I don't know what I should ask the doctors. Could someone please help me out?
Hi my op was about 5 weeks after and that was pre covid.if that helps at all.what op are you having?

Thanks for your support Nelly. My friend was allowed in with me after all. It was good to have her beside me when I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I think I would have been totally stressed on my own. Just trying to get my head round it now.

My diagnosis was long winded so my colposcopy was the end of May my operation was August 4th. it was colonoscopy, MRI CT then endoscopy for final assessment of how to remove it. Then I had to wait for their meeting. It was definitely worth the wait. They were fantastic and got it all.
Im so glad you had company it’s very frightening when you walk in and there’s a consultant and nurse the mind can really panic
I feel for you, this is the worst part, try and take your mind off of it as there’s nothing you can do now. It’s the experts that will deal with it.

I know you have you’re husband to help and you must be super busy as a care giver.
Do you have support?
If you can take a little time out to just have some space. Maybe shopping for your operation. There will be things you need. If you and your friend could do some shopping and a coffee. Make a list of your favourite smells that’s a lovely thing to shop for.
Keep chatting here if it helps
