  1. My wife who has developed secondary bone cancer now has the problem of a dvt and they have treated her with blood thinners and now her platelets are low, she is is in hospital and has had transfusions but that treatment only lasts 3 days before they go down again. Added to this she is now having antibiotics for a lung infection.
  • Hi Marshall

I am sorry to hear that your wife is in hospital after the dvt and now has low platelets. And to also be on antibiotics for the lung infection. I suppose she is in the right place and that hopefully you can get some comfort from knowing she is being well looked after.

I hope that she is feeling better from the infection and transfusions soon and can come home.

In the meantime if there is anything you need, please do ask.
